lol...Sites they trust??, they arent buying anything from your site, their buying it from Amazon, I never mentioned anything about mass no quality sites, I mentioned I think people stress over "how a site looks" and seo when the end point is that you just want someone to click for a cookie to be dropped. Your an affiliate, not a vendor, people trust the brand Amazon, not your niche site, your just a vehicle to get people to purchase from Amazon. And google will not ban your site if it looks ugly, as long as you have the right site structure and not using any other tactics to fool the search engine google will not ban you. I have splogs that have lasted through all these google updates, I believe from the site structure, other than that, it's all duped content repurposed.

I get most of my targeted traffic from social sites which in turn get serp love because of the social activity to my site, although I don't get thousands of hits to anyone of my sites the few hundred I get are ultra targeted people who clicked through because they've been warmed up and want more. I use WP Robot with some other SEO plugins to spit out long tailed product reviews which get placed in the serps due to the other plugins, passively.

I hear what your saying though, quality over quantity which is always a great LONG TERM focus, which will yeild more coin in the long run and stand the test of time. I just think that creating authority niche sites especially for affiliate purposes is over-kill because your ultimately sending people to amazon to purchase the product, so this huge authority site you created is basically just a landing page.

This is passive income, I just think creating authority sites is over-kill especially since your just a middle-man, if it's your own products it's a different story, see the money I made FOR AMAZON on only 15 electronic products? But hey my $76 was passive income. And it looks like a blog that was made yesterday. People stress how the blog looks too much, when in fact it's traffic+clicks+purchases that make you money. People buy products because they want it, not how it looks on your site.

You have alot of good points - but I'm building roughly 75 because I want $2000-$3000 every month - of course its possible to do with less but I want a safety net.

I don't know about you but if I go to a simple base WP install I am not clicking on anything so no cookie would be passed - I am recommending people stick to quality for two reasons 1. this is long term income 2. you stand more chance of getting a click on something to generate the chance for a sale.

As for autoblogs - as I mentioned I am moving away from them simply because I don't want to wake up one day and be earning nothing from the sites - deindexed.

Anyway thanks for your views and as I have constantly said in this thread - this is how I do it - but it's definately not the only way.

True...Just had to show you that your not the only one making money on Amazon as it could be done various different ways and strategies, I'm not moving from the autoblog structure because an Authority site could very well get de-indexed also due to some confusion with google idiotic updates panda,penguin,poodle etc. I've been doing autoblogs for like 4 years now with success and the tools availbale now make it so much easier to manage a plethora of them. To me it's all about return on time invested and if i can make a site in 10 minutes that self sustains itself and makes me money vs a site I spend 4 hours to a week creating that does the same, common sense would be to scale up more sites using the 10 minute model. But that's just my experience and like you said there is no right or wrong way especially if were getting the same results, Best of Luck!...Cheers

Really did not do much for a few days as I have BTB LP on a few sites that's under way at the moment - I did however submit some PDF's with links in them to the Doc Sharing Sites.

Yesterday even though was a holiday did a little over $600 for $42ish in commissions.

congrats danny on your success. i also am having small success with amazon. conversion is so great. you just throw traffic to them and it is fine. but what i am doing is a bit different from you. just like what cookiejar has said, i just throw traffic to amazon and they are buying like crazy. last month i earned $150+ from one site.

yeah - there certainly are different ways to go at Amazon - and I'm sorry if reading the thread it makes it seem there is only one. I was trying more to say here is a blueprint - spin it your way and run with it. But bottom line if you got something that works your way - then just try to scale... and make more.

I wrote some real simple reviews for a beta test site - but most of the time I buy them and rewrite them. If your asking me if all my sites are review sites - then no they are not - they are mixed -- I prefer articles myself as the base though. Otherwise I have to constantly write reviews when new products are released... or the sites get stale..... Just keep in mind my traffic is Seo based so that explains my thinking / plans for this project.

in another thread, there was mention that amazon now does not allow redirects. i am using cpa redirector to throw my blackhat traffic to amazon using a seemingly nice looking intermediate site with amazon products. now with this new tos, i am thinking hard to change my strategy.

I don't do any Black Hat with Amazon - due to looking for Long Term Income --- but yeah if you got away with it till now - then it's probably time to play it straight with Amazon and BlackHat some CPA Companies instead.

when you say you're basing the newer sites around articles, are you say, writing three articles as pages or posts, with no affiliate links. Then start to introduce posts that are reviews, but not in the normal sense we normally see reviews on amazon.

I suppose I mean, they are of course reviews but like 500 words or so and SEOed, it's then these article/reviews that have your affiliate links in?

I can see what you're saying regarding bot clicking sites of poor quality. but I only buy directly through Amazon when I purchase, so that's why I'm wondering about your opinion on the cookery site.

I skimmed threw this thread, and first off I want to congratulate Danny on his great day! I cannot wait until I have a day like that myself!

Danny one thing you definitely made me realize is, as you said, everyone has their own ways of doing things.

People are asking to see your sites, wanting to copy your structure because its proven to work, it feels safer to them than coming up with their own. You are right though there are so many ways to go about it. I noticed you like auto blogs and fancy looking sites. I personally perfer going for a Jan Roos style site. I took his general layout, and changed it up a little bit to how I felt comfortable with it.

I definitely havent had success like you have yet, although I only have 1 amazon site currently ranking (4 more waiting to rank). The first month it didnt make anything because it wasnt ranking, the second month it ranked with 2 weeks left in the month, and earned $45 for that month. Its 3rd month(June) It would have made $102 if not for 2 item returns, knocking it back to $75 on the month.

Keep in mind guys, Danny is totally right, you need to come up with your own site layout, and work with it until you see success. YOU WILL NOT SUCCEED UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY TRY! So get working at it guys!

That was the first site I found when I searched google so they are doing something right lol.... Anyway I was more trying to show how they do their links in text... I've bought a domain, 2 articles written last night, installing a theme now. It'll end being a disaster knowing my keyword research, but hey!

I'm also doing a Blogger based on lBrowns method, not sure if you've read that thread? I don't think it would be your thing though.

you have already "won" by taking action - success or failure it will let you know what works and what doesn't. I always suggest a Premium theme with nice sliders -- if you need some images - take the 7 day free trial at Deposit Photos... that gives you 5 free images a day for 7 days if you have a paypal account.

I noticed the 'site stripe' option in the associate panel. One site I seen used the site stripe in amazon to get their affiliate link for a search result page of a specific product. Lets say when the user clicks on that link there are 15 similar products related to that one brand. Does that mean that associate will get a commission if the customer buys one of those 15 products on that search page within 24 hours? Otherwise I don't see the purpose of using the site stripe option for a search result page, rather than a specific product's page on amazon..

I suppose a reason maybe you had an article on the general term and not specific term so you thought you maybe get a sale that way... I'm not too sure.

Yesterday added a review site and some auto-posting Posts from another BHW members software in Beta - so will be watching in coming weeks if it can sell or not. Probably do one more today for a total of 3 sites using this method.

Sales yesterday ended up at $35 in commissions - which has become the lower end tend to be more $50 $60 $70 a day now.

The reason for the variance basically comes down to products. Some days the large items move and bump up commissions then other days alot of smaller accessory items sell that basically makes it the $35 days.
