Hmmmm, interesting, I been torrenting for years and about a week ago, i received a call from some peeps with an over seas accent and they said they were recieving some "red alert signals" from my computer. Im a PC tech and I admit that I have been loose with my PC security but they said they were with my ISP. I was trying to explain to them that I could care less about any signals that they could be receiving, hell just ignore them. Then the dude randomly said he could get my Windows License deactivated for pirating games.... I hung the phone up, recracked my Windows 7, did a full virus scan and kept on being a boss. I did notice that my internet seems to be going faster xD (and i know its not from removing a virus, im talking about 500KB/s to 1MB/s.). IDK, Centurylink sucks ass either way....
Thats just a scam. They often pretend that they are from microsoft and they are going to help with virus/trojan/whatever problem on you windows pc. They want to give remote desktop help and install virus/trojan/malware software. Even might hijack your pc/files for $$$. Avoid them.
