How many backlinks per day is too much?

Build as many as you like. There's no way Google will ever see more than a relatively small sum at a time, unless you force them to.

Depends upon the no. of visitors to your website...If you have 100 visitors a day on your website then 50 backlinks a day much enough for your website.

Thank you so much THE SEO :) but I am on initial stage ,...... so what should I do now.... How much backlinks i should prefer regarding my site !!!

No, I don't think there is any official communication about fast backlinking but due to penguin update what I recommend you start gradually creating backlinks and Anchor Text should not be same as your Niche otherwise you will be seeing drastic drop in your ranking

There is no exact answer. None can tell you the exact number. In fact, none knows the answer. Internet marketers are constantly trying and testing with different things, so everyone has different experience and their answer also varies.

first of all make a plan of off-page activity like article submission, bookmarking, directory submission, pdf creation, yahoo answer, commenting, forum posting.there is a no proper number of backlinks per days.its depend on your time of project. on an average you can do 10-10- activity of each submission.submit your link at high PR submission sites.

Correct me if I am wrong but if I create 10 links a day it's not a pattern to Google because it takes time to find these links and G doesn't find/crawl the links at the same time, unless you ping them or do some other sht.

Backlinks are dangerous now. Penguin has changed everything. The simple answer to your question is "1". 1 backlink a day is one too many, especially if you are new. There are many "SEO's" that are still trying to use the old (meaning 4 month old) methods that have killed thousands upon thousands of websites since Penguin. You are staggering around in the post-apocalyptic Penguin wasteland. The old world is dead, and now we are killing people in order to steal their gasoline. Some of Penguin's punishments are permanent; the Nuclear Option of Mutually Assured Destruction. Some businesses are still selling spam backlinks, and some innocent & virginal newbs are still buying them. Fresh meat. Warm and fleshy chickens with hot and nutrient-rich blood offering money to pay for their own plucking. Standing in the middle of a diseased and decaying landscape, populated by the bodies piled high upon one another, all dead from exposure to radioactive material, you are wondering how much Plutonium 239 is safe to ingest.

This made my day. I think you are over exaggerating but nice post. :12:

1.

The only 2 sites I have #1 in Google for my keywords have no backlink, not even 1. All the others, I use to build backlinks are nowhere to be found...

No such thing as "too many backlinks" as long as those backlinks are coming from legitimate sources. One backlink from an illegitimate source can spoil the entire bunch, so focus more on the source of your links rather than the quantity.

100% horrified

also fearmongering

Here is exactly what I want to say about it!

If your site is new you have to be very very careful, a single mistake lead your site out of google. It has been advisable to get the aged domain, New site dances a lot like hell. I have been facing this issue from one month. My sites are still dancing don't what the heck google wants.

So don't over ride the links. Build links with slow velocity and increase it.

as @pilot pointed out, there are legit places to drop your links still.

Consider adding your website to local directories if at all possible
niche website directories
a well done press release will result in a legitimate bump of backlinks

so it's not like you have to stand around doing nothing

May I ask you the competition on your niche, So what you think payday people doesn't have backlink and ranking top on the google? same case with viaga and other niches? I don't think so, backlinks are very important but quality ones not the junk ones which can lead your website to penalty...

Very valid and apt. One must change the strategy as its a new era after two P's.

notice there is no official "here is exactly how to rank a site" guide? that's because there are too many variables to answer. you have to test different things out for yourself. quality is always better than quantity though.
if you have money to spare, get fiverr gigs, one at a time and note what effect it has on the rankings. if not, learn how to find high quality links manually.
you can even dl a few wso's from here, pick a good one and follow what they say. you will probably be dissapointed with the results, but you will learn a lot
LMAO.. i dont normally comment on forums that much but this post has to be the worst advice anyone can give.. glad to know some people know exactly what needs doing to rank 1st lmao.. i would love to see your linkbuilding strategy.. is your linkbuilding strecthed out over 10 years or so??!! lmao.. what a joke..

you can blast links like before you just need to be smarter and diversify your backlink types and also the anchor text variation.. and maintain your link velocity.. i.e if you build 200 links today and none tomorrow then your going to be in a world of pain but if you maintain this for a few weeks then you'l be fine..

Simply work hard and worker even smarter!

1 000 000 000 is too much for sure.

The half of that is too much too.

Basically there is no accurate value to give it is relative to many factors, (age of your website, competition, how many were you producing before, how many inner pages you've got and so on)

If your website is a social network, it will get thousands of lower quality links when compared to a news website with a breaking story, which will get much higher quality sites linking to them. Both are completely natural, but the sources of the links are completely different, and will be built at different speeds.

All these people saying 1 or 10 backlinks a day are talking nonsense. My competitor spammed the poop out of his site with blog comments and guess what? He's #2 on Google for the past 2 months and is probably making at least $1000/month.

You'll never rank for any high traffic keyword if you build 1 backlink a day. I've been spamming the poop out of my site for the past month with 1000 links a day and Google doesn't seem to care. I'm only on page 5, but that's because my domain is new.

Bottom line - spam still works.
