My problem is the opposite of Dowser. My posts get indexed within seconds so the screwy spun posts start getting traffic because I have the 301 set to 3 days. I'm going to shorten it, but it'd be nice if the cloaking feature would be on in the mean time so new visitors aren't getting to crappy pages.

How do you achieve that? What kind of service or software do you use?
Does your site have a PR?

You could pm me if you don't want to share...

I don't do anything, just push publish. It's always been like that. I have no idea whether it has PR or not, I don't bother checking as it makes no difference to me.

yes this is exactly why we built the cloaking feature.

Just set your "Number of days before 301 redirect:" to Zero and your posts will be cloaked right away for users (but not for bots)

but I still want them to 301. I just want them to be cloaked in the mean time. I guess I could do the 301 manually but that's kind of defeating the purpose. :)

I'm finally getting a chance to update the plugin (non-auto update is a pain in the ass!) but I have a question. I can't just upload it as it already exists so I assume I need to delete the old plugin first. What will happen to my data that already exists? Should I copy the list of created URLs first or will it keep the data? What about the settings? Will it start over with creating new keyword pages if the data is deleted? A bit more info would be helpful. Any chance of making this easy to update in the future rather than having to jump through a bunch of hoops?

Similarly, it'd be nice to not have to delete a site in order to add new articles to be used. Should just be able to choose the site and upload them. Even better would be to be able to upload them from the site itself rather than having to go to your page and do it.

Deactivate the plugin in Wordpress, and let wp delete the files. The important data are in the database. There is no need to back up anything.

Once you update to v1.8, auto update should work fine.

Now that I've upgraded to the latest and greatest I have more questions:

1 - where do you change the 301 destination URL for a specific page?
2 - how do you get the cloaking to work (checking the enable cloaking box isn't working)
3 - what is the default redirect URL? I thought it was supposed to redirect to whatever page the search term originally found?

I'd still like to know what happens to the pages that didn't get indexed before they were 301'ed - should I remove them and do it over?

Quick performance update. I installed this plugin on a site that I haven't put any work into in over a year. I keep it because it earns enough in adsense to pay for itself. When I installed it, about 3 weeks ago, I was averaging 3 visitors a day. I now average more than 20 visitors a day. My indexed pages went from 204 to 4200. So it's not making me a ton of money, but it's definitely improving traffic. I anticipate that'll only get better as more and more searches come in. I haven't done anything else to the site besides install this plugin.

nothing 'happens' to them. It works just like any other web property that is 301 redirected. It can still bring better ranking to the page to which it is redirected. Just include all links in your link list as you execute link building on your site.

It will still rank, I just personally prefer to get them indexed first.

I've installed it on one of my blogs and all the articles are visible - they don't get cloaked...
Good thing it's one of those niches you have plenty of articles, but I wonder why they are there for a regular visitor...

It's a theme that displays about 10 articles per page. (Expertwp)

This is the only one that got the links indexed, so can't compare the notes.

If you're using wordpress, try installing a category filter plugin. That was my solution. I set it so that all posts that were uncategorized don't show on the home page.

Schwagoo, can you please answer my questions? Cloaking is NOT working. My visitors are seeing the scraped/spun articles the plugin is publishing.

Hello here,
I just would like to know if there is any update about experience in blasting an other site with this pugin?

Any updates on what happens Albaniax?

The site itself had actually a complete spam profile with a few press releases aswell. It was a test project, which got later some decent rankings. Lately I hadn't done any linking to it at all. Panda & Penguin it survived. Though it seems like the whole niche got some movement.

Nevertheless, I'll still try this plugin deeper. It's all about the big numbers, before one can make bottom line conclusions.

Ok so I have been using this plugin for a few day and I noticed that the generated posts are not being deleted from my blog. I think they are supposed to be deleted after a specified time and the the 301 redirect is put into place right? I have it set up so that after 3 days they are deleted. The posts are not being deleted. Is anyone else having this issue?

Depends what you mean by deleted. If you mean removed from the back-end of the blog then no, they're not supposed to be deleted. If you mean they should no longer be visible to visitors because of the 301 then yes, they should be deleted from the front-end.
