Hey,

I want to know if and how can someone get fast approval on Dmoz and Yahoo directory. Is there any method that works? Or is there any paid service that guarantees fast approval?

Dmoz, no way. If you find one, tell me, I'd pay $$$

What about Yahoo?

for Dmoz there's seo companies offer paid listing approval with proof but didn't try them before , about Yahoo you need to pay fee about $300 if remember and they may accept and may not and they will not refund you in both cases ..........

For the money you'll spend on Yahoo & "fast" DMOZ listing you can buy a bunch of much better SEO services on this forum.

Don't waste your resources on dinosaurs.

A total dickhead competitor of mine did nothing but copy me & a few others AND is on DMOZ, while I am not. Same country, same niche, my site is three years older with higher PR & fantastic content. Its done him no end of good in the rankings. Is the answer to become a DMOZ editor?

Actually there is an article on SEO MOZ & I think its about the size of it. I cant past the link but will put part of it in -
Applying to become a DMOZ editor is easy. Getting accepted is a little bit harder, but definitely doable. The first step is to find the category that best describes your website. At the bottom of that category you will see a link that says "Volunteer to edit this category." This will take you to the next page which gives you tips and advice on applying to become an editor. Read this page! At the bottom of the page click on the button that says "Proceed" to go to the actual application.
DMOZ will only approve you to edit one category at a time. After you become an editor, you can apply to edit other categories. Whether or not you get accepted to edit other categories depends on your body of work up until that time as an editor. That is why it is a good idea, even after you are approved as an editor, to carefully follow the editorial guidelines on websites you approve to be in the directory. If you have multiple websites waiting to be approved by DMOZ editors, I recommend applying to edit in the category for which your most important site is waiting. Do a good job editing in that category and it will be easy for you to be approved to edit other categories.
It is best to start with a smaller category. Usually less than 100 listings in a category will give you an excellent chance of being accepted.
The actual application is where you need to be careful and do a little homework. Here you will be asked to provide the usual (your name, username, password, email address, etc.).
Further down the application page you will find four boxes to input information. Doing a good job filling out these four boxes is critical to your application. As you fill them out, make sure your punctuation, grammar, and spelling are all correct.

You can probably get yourself this one gig who will post you in yahoo groups, and as for dmoz - just buy yourself expired domain from dmoz and make a 310 redirect, should help a bit

I purchase dmoz expired domains and 301 them. I saw great results with that. But sometimes when dmoz detects that your website was re-registered they just drop you from the listing.

its $299/year.

Sorry to disappoint you mate! There's no fast way of getting approved fast in Dmoz and Yahoo. But I can assure you, it's well worth the wait!! You will get top rankings in no time! Most probably no.1! It's a very little known secret out there! Don't tell anyone :P

Yes.. but the chances of that happening is very slim. Also what category the expired domain is in plays a role. Some categories are more active than others.. so make sure the expired dmoz listed domain comes from a category that see's not much action.. best categories would be ones with the 'Volunteer to edit this category' badge at the footer.

DMOZ, man, are you nostalgic for the geocities era and its blink tags?

DMOZ links are totally worthless nowadays. You might cherish memories of angelfire... I think they're still proudly listed.

lol, I actually still have a relic of a site, which still ranks page 1 which is sitting on angelfire :) DMOZ isn't worthless, I agree doesn't mean anywhere near as much as it maybe once did however!

Do you know a dmoz editor?

Your success with dmoz and yahoo depend on popularity of your site's category. If you are on a higher level page with 5 other links it's better than to be in a subcategory with 100. YMMV.

Thanks and I want to share fast approval link directory list with you fastapprovallinkdirlist.weebly
