The F*ck is wrong with Death By Captcha

they suck balls, they always have some excuse as to why things werent working right today or say last nite.....yadayadayada....it's every f**king day.

they are the slowest and their accuracy sucks, it's as if they type in bad captchas on purpose.....which is what i thin k they do anyway, always have since i first used them.

the stupidest response i got from them....when i got one that is....was that maybe i shouldnt use the service during peak hours.....hello....wtf?

why in the fck would i shut my operation down during peak hours you tools???????

i just moved over to decaptcher.com, issues solved.

Hi,

@affuser
What software were you using? If you?d like to, PM your DBC username and we?ll live test this so that you can check all the CAPTCHAs that you?re submitting through your software.

@svabb2000
Please PM your DBC username and I?ll check on that as well.

@Danny1111
That?s really odd. What software are you using? Feel free to tell me your username if you?d like me to take a look.

@spoon22 / @creativeway /@Master X

Please PM your DBC username to check on your CAPTCHA submissions and identify the issue

1.Most software that has DBC integrated (with one of our own API clients) has some sort of feature to claim bad CAPTCHAs automatically. If I don?t recall incorrectly , you?re currently using XRumer, have you tried using the service with another software to check on the aforementioned?
We?re actually already looking into adding more payments processors. We?ll announce it as soon as we got things ready.

2. We can have issues like that one or two times in month. This is actually quite good, considering the nature of the service that we?re providing (in the sense that there are tons of factors that can affect our workers on which we have no control at all, like extraordinary climatic conditions, serious and violent political issues, etc ).

3. I know that these issues can be very frustrating for you, that?s why we?re constantly growing our team to ensure 100% and satisfy you guys as much as possible.

4. As I previously stated, our correctness rate are based on our average user?s rate.

@lonny41
We barely have peak hours anymore.

Our recent past issues have surfaced due to technical failures rather than image overload per se.

Best Regards,

I use them and I always have good numbers. Not sure why you are having issue.

As far as I understood they don't support case sensetive captchas, which caused me some troubles

Hi,

Indeed, we don't support them to a 100% yet. We're working on that, as we're already instructing all our workers to always type them case sensitive.

However, please consider the fact that over 98% of all CAPTCHAs are not case sensitive. Even the large majority of the CAPTCHAs that are shown with both upper-case and lower-case are not case sensitive.

Best Regards,

Jeez, what countries are these people in??

Well, the new payment processors which don't charge VAT would save all EU customers 20%. This would reduce real CAPTCHA cost to around $2 / 1000 which is acceptable, same price as decaptcher.

If I don't recall incorrectly, the service you're mentioning has Avangate.com as main payment processor and thus VAT charge, so in theory our service would still be cheaper :)

I like deathbycaptcha but one thing annoy me. Few weeks ago when i used LR payment method my acc was always credited immediatelly. Now when i make payment using LR and send payment details to DBC mail after 24hours or more my acc is not credited. Always when i use LR as payment i have to wait for live customer support and then my acc is credited. Its big waste of time. Please do something with that.

Hi,

Some times you could get a faster response from one our Live Chat Reps. due to the fact that the part of our team that handles Support tickets might be busier considering the amount of tickets we receive per day.

However, we'll note this. Next time you order through LR your account should be credited faster ; )

Bump. I know they had their servers offline last night for maintenance, but since they've came back online today I keep getting "Unable to connect to the remote server" error messages. Happens at least 50% of the time. Anybody know what the deal is?

Hi Zipper,

- From the Update section of DeathByCaptcha.eu:

Aug, 20: A small group of users might be experiencing issues with the service due to some connectivity inconveniences we're facing with our DNS provider. We're expecting a resolution for this situation in a short period of time. We apologize for the inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your patience on this matter.

I'll keep you guys posted,

Best Regards,

Regarding your dll that interacts with the api URL that is timing out - Could you PLEASE make your dll crash proof so it doesn't blow up when the API URL times out? There is no way to handle this crash situation outside of the dll, and when your dll blows up, it blows up AMR as well. Also, can you ensure that if the users internet connection drops, even for a second, that any httpwebrequests don't result in a crash. I moved AMR away from the HTTP api because you asked me to, and I have a feeling that a lot of the ghost crashes in the past are completely related to unhandled exceptions in your dll.

We'll certainly take this into consideration. I'll update you ASAP.

Regards,

It's been terrible the past 2 days. :(

Yea they've been horribly slow lately.
I've had to turn up my timeout to defaultx4 (240 seconds) to be sure not to crash my program.

I payed 20.85$ to the wallet specified on deathbycaptcha.com, and sent an email with payment details to [email protected].
Didn't receive any reply. I emailed every other contact email on DBC but got no reply =(

Please fix this. Losing 20$ isn't fun =\

I tried logging in today and its saying my account is invalid, when i tried to do a password reset it told me my payment ID was not in the system?! And no matter how many times i email i'm not getting a response.
