How did this guy rank a video with mobile views ?

Hi guys i found this video today on the homepage of youtube. If you check the statistics it clearly shows that he bought the views. But most of them are mobile views. I thought mobile views doesn't rank the video anymore. Am i wrong ?

that guy actually owns a very well known channel, and a large channel at that. just check his stats so your question might not apply to a video like this because he is an "authority" youtuber, but it does still seem like he blasted his video with mobile views while getting real mobile views at the same time

About 2 months ago a rapper from colombia ranked the first page of youtube infront of Ray william J for almost a week, with over 2million views. They were mobile views.
his song was pretty nice. but I guess that was before the mobile views got patched and started giving negative impact.

Ok his statistics just got updated. Its over 100,000 Mobiles views lol. I think it must be either VT or ytnuke who must have provided the views. Anyway what does "referral from subscriber module" mean ?

i mean that his videos have a much higher chance of getting on home page than a random persons video who blasted their video with mobile views, and i say this because he is a very large youtuber so he probably has connections

He is one of the biggest youtubers for gaming. All his videos get an instant million views. That's the sad part about big time youtubers... they can post any shitty video and are guaranteed at least a couple hundred thousand views.

He's a jerk like all the other YouTubers, and his little slave subscribers will do anything to get to talk to him, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone purchased views for him, or he did it himself (not like he needs to anymore).
