EZA has been getting hit a lot the past year, but that's really natural. First of all they had a lot of terrible content. Second of all, you don't WANT your traffic to get filtered through EZA if you can help it!

Advice for people using solely one network. DON'T. If whole networks get indexed all your links are gone. Use different networks each week to diverisfy. That way if some do get deindexed the hit isn't as bad on your site.

Not THE factor, but one of the factors for sure.. The same reason that the first panda update deindexed/screwed article directories that accepted spun content.

I guess another major trigger is when 100% of all the posts have keywords as anchor text links in them; while natural blogs would have several links with no posts, and some generic anchors like "Click here" etc.

I am with manny and bob, defiantly a manual de-indexing going. Now, private networks are the way of the future here I believe, but building them from scratch requires big money to set them up correctly.

I certainly do not think seohosting is good enough for a private network with thousands of blogs as it leaves just too big of a footprint overall, and individual private hosting spread out over a few dozen hosts would literally cost thousands a month in hosting fees.

Coops seem the best bet here, but do you know of any good ones? I have found serpgold to be promising, however I haven't heard anything else about it, maybe a good thing . They are doing something smart though and capping membership once a quota is met, I really want to join.

well the problem for me is this :

this network has been discovered with a bunch of properties lost
even if they rebuild it

now Google is onto them - the penalty for using them in the future may be alot worse than what we have already suffered

so I am really on the fence with using them any further - as there seems alot of risk and just a small chance of a reward/recovery.

I never really understood why exactly people think seo hosting is so great for hosting their whole network, it is the biggest flag of them all. I have used SEO hosting from hostgator, and even with unique ip's your still on the same subnet which simply isn't good enough anymore, especially since many farms could be on the same subnet as well right along with you
