thanks for the response. Yes that's what i was thinking. however it might get a tad expensive if i have to test a few niches before i finally land one that is actually worth a shot.I am no meathead, but I will give this question a shot.
The big advantage of having a niche specific domain name is because it will have an increased stick rate when you post comments.
Let's say my niche is dog walking, I then comment on an article about dogs and insert my URL.
The key here is that your link needs to look appealing, as you are relying on it catching someone's eye, rather than other methods involving SEO where Google is telling the user that your link is relevant.
I understand that you may want a generic name to cut costs over multiple niches, but it may work against you in click volumes and the post stick rate.
