I am no meathead, but I will give this question a shot.

The big advantage of having a niche specific domain name is because it will have an increased stick rate when you post comments.

Let's say my niche is dog walking, I then comment on an article about dogs and insert my URL.

The key here is that your link needs to look appealing, as you are relying on it catching someone's eye, rather than other methods involving SEO where Google is telling the user that your link is relevant.

I understand that you may want a generic name to cut costs over multiple niches, but it may work against you in click volumes and the post stick rate.

This is a pretty cheap method, even if you do have to test a bunch of niches.

Even if you did 10 niches, this would cost less than 100 bucks to setup. If 100 bucks is too much then sell some gigs on Fiverr or something until you can afford it.

yes nothing come cheap so im willing to shell it out. Just thought i could have a general review site with different pages pointing to different products niches..If anything it would also make the review site more legit/professional looking because i would have menus with different categories for products.

I guess you could build one big site - there's pros and cons to both approaches.

I would probably try keep it in a broad niche rather than doing everything.

So if you had electronicsreviews.com you could then review laptops, tablets, phones as smaller niches, but I would review dog-training products on the same site.

and inside someproductname.php, put this:

If not, what is a good method for cloaking the affiliate URL?

So far I'm off to a pretty good start with this method. Got around 55 UV's yesterday from the 20 or 30 links I put up and grabbed two product orders already. I didn't expect to earn anything this soon.

i didnt read all 23 pages so far, so i hesitate to ask a question that might be covered, but in the interested of those whom have read it, maybe they can answer this quickly:

1)Do you update your review site at all after the initial set reviews? This would make the site look like its constantly updating.

2) I am guessing selling items would be this websites main push rather than putting adwords on it? With a proper link cloaking like you mentioned

You have a lot to learn my friend. Start reading the forums...

You collect "cash" from the CPA(cost per action) network your selling for. They have a bunch of products, you sell one through your link and you get a commission

This is a great method, and I've been doing it for a while, however, the problem is whenever I try to post to blogs or forums that are related to this topic, my advertisement always gets deleted. For some reason, I have an incredible amount of trouble constructing a link that won't get deleted. It seems that no matter how "friendly" I am, my personal link is always advertising and is blocked, so how am I supposed to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
