[Case Study] Blast 5 Million Backlinks to a PR4 Authority Site

Kickflip, I think your hearts in the right direction just the way you are going about it is a little over the top..

Anyway, very interesting I think as a PR4 site and as you have stated you have enough protection already built to your site where it wont affect it negatively very much. Although I could be wrong stranger things have happened...

Kickflip, I think your hearts in the right direction just the way you are going about it is a little over the top..

The problem is, I asked him already to keep track of certain information, and he told me he was going to, and then suddenly he is ignoring it when I ask for the information. He has mentioned over and over that he wants to keep track of how many backlinks "it takes" for things to happen, but then he doesn't provide us with how many backlinks went live.

This also provides more data as to how many backlinks is a healthy number.
If at some point I manage to pull off SERP 1-3, ill know how many back links it took ;)
These 2 quotes are just saying how he wants to know "how many backlinks", but to know this, you have to know how many backlinks you actually posted.
At $0.01 (one cent) per backlink, it would cost you $50,000.
This shows that the OP actually believes he is blasting 5,000,000 backlinks. We all know that he wont even be blasting 5% or 10% of that.
The list was sent in 10 parts. I compiled it and removed duplicate domains. I will check or for approvals and ping the pages after the blasts are complete.
The OP saying he will check for approvals and ping the pages after the blasts are complete. The OP also saying he removed duplicate domains, which I highly doubt. Perhaps he meant remove duplicate URLs. If he actually meant remove duplicate domains, did he remove the home page first? Which was it, unique domains or unique urls?
I appreciate your input. I'll try my best to report as accurately as possible.
Here is the OP telling me he will do his best to report accurately, which should entitle me to be able to question him when he is leaving out key details.

This is the most important part of this whole thread for me:
First note that I was lazy and just sent 6.5 million blasts (the list had a high success rate). Probably less than half of them posted and even fewer remained (and even even fewer were index, etc).

Would love for the OP to clarify what that actually means.

Personally, I read the original post and took it for what it said, where you ended up after your 57 posts about whatever, I couldn't tell you. Again, it happens often that I will enjoy the direction a thread is going.. Then, "here comes Kickflip. I wonder if I can unsubscribe from a thread I've posted in?"

I do not follow your conversations as they tend to be primarily argumentative and demanding towards the other person/people. I think you really need to evaluate your own position here before you continue your rants towards the OP.

Somehow, I am quite sure that he is not your employee. This wasn't a thread dedicated to you and the OP has no obligation whatsoever to do anything for you, or even fulfill requests that he'd previously agreed to do for you. I've never been paid for posting here, and I doubt that he has either.. So if something comes up where he is, you know... Busy.. and maybe... has important things to tend to besides your continual demands... I completely understand, as should you.

And my point being, there is no need to demand anything from the OP (personally, if this were my thread, I would ignore demanding posts as well) and it is definitely uncalled for to be throwing around things like he's lying, he's misleading us all and making it out like the guy is intentionally going OUT OF HIS WAY to provide false information here. That's simply not the case... I'd be willing to bet what's happening here is he was being nice by sharing results with folks, you came along being a jerk demanding specific numbers and he found something more fun/profitable to do than continue pandering to you.

There is no need to demand the specifics of his SEO campaign, existing or in progress to understand this thread. The very idea of that is silly and providing that information to you of all people is pointless... "Oh this info is no good without this other info. But that's useless without this completely different info, go get that, slave boy and be snappy about it.... Where is my info as you promised, slave boy? I believe I told you to be snappy about it, and while you're at it, get me more info because that info is useless without every other info concerning your SEO." It's like "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" or the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon, when do you STOP needing more of his info?

Get off your high horse and take a seat next to the rest of us, professor. This isn't your show and the only person who thinks the information you're demanding is required is you. If you want the conversation to revolve around you, again... Make your own thread.

I understand where kickflip is coming from the case study lacks information, that means someone could just open a thread and say am blasting 10million links to a site, and come back with palstry information about how the site has ranked 39+

Without documenting this below, atleast this gives you some sort of statistics about your case study

How many links are autoapprove
How many links are indexed
Heck how many links has pr1-5

Without this information, I wont be happy if i was in OP shoes, as I need to know this figures to call it a case study.

In your opinion you don't think kickflip question is a valid one? so that means anyone, i mean anyone could create a thread today and say 20 million blast to my pr 5 site

then come with update a week later about how the site is ranking without no information about how many of this links are indexed, and how many of this are approved?

BlackHatWorld is full of people who try to build their reputation as fast as possible for negative reasons. Do you know the OP and you are willing to vouch for him? His account is 2 years old, and just recently he has been making tons of posts/shares and it would appear he is trying to build his reputation up as quickly as possible. It is nice to see these shares if they will help people, but I have the right to be suspicious when his actions don't meet normal behavior.

Are we all going to Vegas again? Did the OP buy another Luxury car? I don't know, but that is the vibe that the OP is giving off to me.

Here is another recent post by OP:

Thanks for this study. I'd be skeptical about any service without a report. Subscribed

Even he says he is skeptical is about a service that doesn't provide reports. But here is doing nearly the same thing, asking us just to take his word for everything. And then people get upset when I am skeptical? Yes, I do understand that he is doing this for free. But you guys need to understand, without seeing ANY specific information, this case study is useless.

How many Unique Domains were posted to.
How many Unique URLs were posted to.
How many approved comments.
How many backlinks before you started.
How many backlinks showing in major backlink checkers.
Did you ping any of the pages.

The OP names his thread "Blast 5 Million Backlinks" because he knows this will get the most attention. Did he actually believe he was going to be making 5 Million Backlinks? I think he did. Now if this was a simple mistake, no problem, everyone has to learn, this is what SEO is. But the OP is getting defensive against me like he is king boss of Scrapebox and knows exactly what he is doing, but the way he is describing everything, it just isn't adding up.

Meatro, since you seem to know about the OP so much, explain to me what this actually means:

"First note that I was lazy and just sent 6.5 million blasts (the list had a high success rate). Probably less than half of them posted and even fewer remained (and even even fewer were index, etc)."

Thats all I want to know at this point. What does that actually mean?

subscribed. intresting to read.
But i think in the end ou will be slaped by google.

Without this information, I wont be happy if i was in OP shoes, as I need to know this figures to call it a case study.

Right! I understand I am coming off as "attacking" the OP, but it is just because I see to many people come in like this and end up going bad. I am not trying to attack the OP, I would be very pleased if he would provide some real information about this so we can all learn from it. I WANT this to be a legit case study.

It just seems to me, anyone trying to run a real decent case study, even just for their own knowledge, would want to know how many links got approved, and how many were indexed. At the very least they would need that info to make it a case study. Without knowing how many links got approved and how many got noticed by Google, there is absolutely no conclusion you can come to from this study. None at all.

I don't think kickflip is asking for any major specifics, what he is asking is very legitimate and would add to overall quality of the case study.

Conclusion:

First note that I was lazy and just sent 6.5 million blasts (the list had a high success rate). Probably less than half of them posted and even fewer remained (and even even fewer were index, etc).
A little detail on how many backlinks did actally stick and got indexed won't hurt.
After all, how difficult is it to run you site through majestic seo?

Yes anyone could. Up to you to doubt him or not.

This thread is intensely interesting and has been until you came along. Shut your mouth and figure out what's going on or go do your own case study.

I'm sure you can find enough info in some WSO's lying around about how to do it, maybe Matt Cutts has a video showing you how... Just because you do not understand something does not mean you need to pipe up with your ridiculous questions and then turn argumentative and dicky because the OP will not break this shit into baby food for you.

Thanks bro. This guy really thinks all case studies are followed 100%. Shit happens, things change, people get busy. We still try to do what we said.

I am not sure why all the hub bub, bub?

Certainly I can appreciate that this case study is not 100% accurate but I look at it like this, the case study is relative to what we can expect from a fiverr gig or even a newbie doing this for himself and even some service right here on BHW.

The point is not really how is 5 million blog comments going to affect me, the point is more or less how is a large SB blast going to affect me.

There are dozens of gigs all over the web offering up 10k-20k blasts and it is likely they too have a high drop/failure rate. So lets assume out of his 5 million only 1% stick, that is still 50,000 blog comment links in a pretty short time frame, far more than you can expect with any gig anywhere and likely higher than what quite a few of us here do on our own.

Point being this is Still far larger a blast than we can expect on a normal basis. Based on that I feel that this case study is relevant, assuming OP is being honest with the lists/tools and submissions he has mentioned so far in this thread.

Kickflip read this and stop wasting our time responding to you to satisfy your love for arguing.

@impulse - second request please

1. Did you ping the links?

2. Can you please run the domain that you are testing in https://ahrefs.com

and list the following data. I would really appreciate it

Total backlinks:
Ref IPs:
Ref subnets:
Ref domains:
nofollow:

Will do.

dzASF

Notice where i stopped spamming links.

I guess this is the last piece of the case study. We'll take a look at what happens if I just stop sending backlinks immediately.

I was not meaning that additional information is not helpful. Of course it is, there are better ways to go about getting it than being a demanding dick about and then screaming and shouting about how the guy is a shady, two faced lying sack of dogshit when he doesn't do it (for FREE) in a timely fashion (according to YOUR schedule.)

This isn't making a lot of sense. Obviously the image is a little hard to understand, and there are hundreds of reasons for why everything happened the way it did, but it appears your backlink count started dropping off even well before you started blasting according to your own posts.

If you check the image, you can see the links start dropping off rapidly the same the day the OP starts the test, on Feb 22nd/23rd. So instead of his link count going UP during the study, according to this website, his link count went drastically DOWN during his time he was blasting.

Now, let me post more important information. His site isn't the only one showing this. I checked 2 of my own sites, and also BlackHatWorld, and came to these images which show the same sheer drop offs in backlinks.

Now, the most important question we all have to ask ourselves, is where are all the OPs links? I wasn't actively building links to my websites, so the drop off was to be expected. But the OP was blasting 1million sites per day, so we should see a rise, not a drop off. It has nothing to do with you "stopping blasting" OP. The links drop off before you evens started. But it could just be a generic issue regarding backlinks being counted. This is why its so important to keep track by yourself of how many links you made.

Thats just a preliminary look.

Did you see what you've done here? exact information kickflip was asking you, and this will help others as well to see how many backlinks your site received from 6.5 million backlinks.

Nice one. Keep up the good work.

Coco

Sigh *facepalm* etc.

Let me get this straight.
I put in my 6.5 million word list into SB.
Sent all the BL to my url.
Posted Results that i went up 20 ranks (on a medium keyword)
You're in shock, disbelief, can't hand yourself over this information?

What do i have to do to get you to give everyone a break? I posted what I did and how I did it and the results.

If you think i created this thread to post a result that's a lie, that's completely fine. (idk what i'm getting out of lying)

I have no clue what you're trying to accomplish other than waste our time and make yourself look bad.

Your reputation on these forums is suffering. I've received 3 more pms today about how you have too much time to spend arguing with others with your skepticism and you don't have much to offer in terms of giving to the SEO community.

Grow up buddy. Do something with your life. Stop arguing over this cause you're not proving anything.

No problem. I definitely want to show the results. Because I did what I did to help people and i understand if you want to see graphs, numbers, etc.

I don't appreciate people jumping to the conclusion that I made up my results.. which makes no sense.
You see above, he's at it lmao.

Someone pmed me saying his posts reminded the guy of his bitchy girlfriend. ha!

Will you two just grow a pair. Kickflip you've made your point, let others draw their conclusion with what been said on here.

I think a very important thing with this whole thread, is to clear up the wording we are all using. Backlink = a link back to your site. Comment = potential backlink. So he possibly made 6.5 million comments (still don't really believe but we can say yes for now) and we see the links going down. I do appreciate the image, because it does give us lots of information to work with.

Well... you see this is my thread. Should i ignore him and appear as if im trying to deny something? Or do I respond and make him think I have time to argue with him.

Yes, please help me grow a pair.

Kickflip, OP used a software to determine how many backlinks he got.

And the graph shows that his site spiral down on the day he started, you made your point there, now let me remind you that not everything seems to be black and white, its a software that shows the graph, remember this, not all reporting softwares are 100 percent accurate.

So let give the OP the benefits of the doubt and let others draw their conclusion from the case study/

Here is the problem, you told us you would make 6.5 million backlinks. Commenting on 6.5 million blogs is not the same thing at all. Attempting to comment on 6.5 million pages is even less so. My reputation is NOT suffering here. There are lots of people on this forum who don't like me, and that is fine. What do you want me to do here?

If nobody questioned you, we would all be under the impression you made 6.5 million new backlinks in a week, because that is what you told us you did. We all now know that isn't true. So do people really believe we all would have been better off thinking you made millions of new links, instead of only a few thousand like you possibly really did?

What can people gain from lying? Reputation and status. That is worth more than money here. What do you get from helping people?
