Triple checked. Made a new account, tried to pin a few pictures, and only 1 of them appeared on the category page.
After you pin, are you going to the category to check? There are thousands of people pinning at the same time you are. It could be buried by the time you check. When you click on a category, you are taken to the "everything" section and you see the pins of everyone on Pinterest and not just the people you're following.

Could you guys send me an invite, please?

Please send it to drouinmusic at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Thanks for all the info folks.

I would like an invite but i cant sent any PM's yet.

Can anyone send me one at comy.1982 AT yahoo ?

Thanks

Well, previously I could see all of my pins on category page. I tried to pin a few pictures with the same account again, and I could see only the first pin on the category page. I think my account has been limited or something like that. But I will test it with new accounts that have no connection to my old account, just to find out where is the problem.

Well I just saw something on Pinterest that I have not seen yet. Someone is putting three and four pictures straight down in one jpg. Her pics are bigger than everyone else's. Very interesting. It stood out and caught my eye. This has possibilities.

I've been having the same problem today. I pinned about 50 pins using "add pin" option and didn't get a single like or repin. I started looking through the categories and noticed none of my pins were even showing up.
I switched to a proxy and new account and still nothing showing up. Not sure what's going

isnt this thread outdated now?? to be fair??
Well the first post in the thread is not a good idea, but there is a lot of valuable info, lively conversation, and brainstorming inside the thread. So, no, it's not outdated.

That's very odd. Let me know what you find out.

I am pretty sure our accounts have been marked as bad. Probably somebody has reported our pins. But it is strange that even with a new account you had no luck.

Is it the best idea...no. Is it useful for noobs who haven't made money online? I have several PMs of thanks showing that it is. Several people telling me that they have made their 1st dollars online through this method. Is someone going to strike it big with this method, almost certainly no, but to say that it is not a good idea when it was helped several complete amateurs make money online is a bit odd.

I did a test and saw that it could work even for the most amateur of IMer, so I decided to post this.

Are there other ways to spin this, which I mentioned in my OP? Absolutely and there are some great ideas located in this thread.

The main thing to remember in IM is find something that you can make cash with and scale it up. Not everyone can make the "1000s" you made last week, which if you are making that much, time to join the JRVIP, support the site and the people that post here, instead of being negative around every corner.

Your idea is going to result in people losing their Pinterest accounts as well as their adsense accounts. I am in this thread because I want people to make a lot with Pinterest and not just a couple of dollars. Pinterest brings more referral traffic than Google +, Linkedin, and YouTube combined. They can make a lot with it. It can be done even if people don't have products to sell. The woman who introduced me to Pinterest does not sell products. Her income is from ad revenue, and she does well.

It is interesting how I have lost neither of them. Not to mention I invited almost all the people in this thread...so if anyone was going to lose their Pinterest Account, it would be the one who invited all the people getting "banned". Mine is still in tact though...

As I can see, not all pins are going to the category pages. For example, if I pin something to my Food & Drink board, it does not show up in the Food & Drink category page on Pinterest. How does Pinterest decides what goes to the category page and what does not?

i have exactly the same question. in the past nearly all of my pins were going to the category page, but now sometimes my pins appear there and sometimes not. who knows the answer?

May I also mooch an invite off of someone please?
thank you:D

I have been using pinterest for nearly a year, white hat, not black hat.

Recently i started doing what OP adviced, i was copying the popular pics which are in my blog`s category (beauty) and put them in my site, then pin them from my site to my own boards.. At first days every single pin i made was appearing in the beauty category and everybody could see them, then on the 3rd day of doing this, i noticed that no matter how many pics i pin, only one of them was appearing in the category page.. and today i posted like 20 more pics and only 1 or 2 appeared in the category page and now no matter to which category i try to pin, my pic does not appear in the category`s main page = less repins.

I made a new acc few mins ago, tried to pin a pic and boom, it appeared on category`s page instantly.

So either they have an automatic system which checks your pins and prevent you to spam the same category rapidly, or they do manual reviews and block your pins to appear on the category.

Actually i can pin and my followers can see them, but they are not going to main page of categories, in this case i really wonder what is going on.

If it is a temporary thing, then no probs, but if it is permanent then it sucks.

if someone finds an exact answer about this problem, please share! i want to know what is going on...
