Ive had a few ideas that may be a bit different...but im not a member yet.

Have they said when they will open the site fully? Its been around since march 2010!

Methods used in this thread can easily be taken much much further, think outside that box if you are just driving traffic to an adsense blog or whatever!

As I can see, not all pins are going to the category pages. For example, if I pin something to my Food & Drink board, it does not show up in the Food & Drink category page on Pinterest. How does Pinterest decides what goes to the category page and what does not?

I am finally posting (been lurking here a while) as I love this thread. I have seen my gf using pinterest and thought about using it as a traffic tool, but never made a move. I have a MNS that is on kitchen renovations and ideas that has a few hits every day or so from some of the kitchen pictures (I do some renovation work in the winter - I took them myself) After looking into it - its all women who shared them - and reading all the great out of the box ideas here I am definitely going to start "pinning" some of my other photos in assorted niches for my sites. I am assuming this is totally adsense safe as the pictures also sometimes rank in G images .. I have not done much cpa stuff as I am still a newb to IM but I may give that a go in the future too. All in all I dont think this method can make you tons of moolah (unless you actually sell your own products/services on the site) but it is great for some site exposure and a trickle of revenue regardless. I wonder why pinterest traffic is so weird and doesnt convert well. O well thanks to the OP for the thread and redrubies for her womanly insights.

But I got some articles that are on recipes and I realize that both men and women are interested but I got only 3 repins not more than that to any of my pins...
How much repins you have got ? whats the largest number till now to your pins?

The highest I got so far was on one of my products which was 49. It resulted in sales.

Are you sure that your food and drink board is in the food and drink category? Just a couple of days ago, I noticed that I screwed up my board categories. Double check your board categories.

I would stick a few boards up within a fews niches adding some pictures pointing to multiple blogger blogs.

Then use the available FREE like and follow bots on BHW to get some followers and likes or repins of your content.

The potential of getting your pictures to go viral with this could be mind blowing and get loads of visitors to your blogs or pages.

Women really love looking at pictures of renovations. You could really go with this doing before and after pictures, in between pictures, and also asking for ideas when you comment on your picture. Like "What type of counter should I put in?"

Triple checked. Made a new account, tried to pin a few pictures, and only 1 of them appeared on the category page.
