Anyone making good money with the Amazon Affiliate Program?

I just started using Amazon affiliates and I noticed that there commission rates were lower then most affiliates I have worked with before. However, they have tons of products and they are a trusted brand so they have benefits.

Is anyone making some good money out there with Amazon? If you want to give me an idea of how much that would be great, but it's obviously not necessary.

Yeah, we do good with Amazon. The key is to choose good keywords, you have to be sure about the product profitability in terms of Amazon sales. Keyword research for Amazon sites is a lot harder than for Adsense sites as lots of elements need to be met like product price high enough, product availability on Amazon, likelihood someone will order this from Amazon or from other specialized stores, etc.. If done properly, it's worth of your time.

Well, I think you're doing it backwards but if you want to go that route, you should:

Consider your target audience, and what their interests may be. Then select products that fit their daily lifestyle. Put yourself in their shoes and think about what you would buy if you were reading the content posted on your website.

...... trying to get to $2000 a month.

I think in terms of your question - Amazon should be part of every marketers sites - simply because of the name and they pay. I've been in CPA networks where they just shut you down or take you off an offer etc and it sucks - but with Amazon you know your money is coming the last wednesday of the month.

Probably shouldn't be the only thing you do - but yeah get involved and figure out what works for you.

no different from any other method.

research products - make site - post content/purchase links
then Seo the site the best you can.... the worse you are at Seo the more sites you will need.

I think you gotta remember - that you have to find something that works for you and your abilities..... because what I do or how I do it - may not work for you.

I have one site that is ranked #1 for a keyword I found through research. This month is my best yet, I am already at $480 earned with another week to go still. I am super-excited because while I did do some big research to find this term, I consider myself a NOOB when it comes to this stuff. I am a fulltime carpenter that builds houses, not a computer programmer.

My site is setup with a nice long article that sort of serves as a review for the "top 3" items that my keyword is. All link to amazon products.

I see some people have amazon sites setup that are more like stores, where they can click the 'buy now' button that puts them through to amazon. The route i'm trying to take involves a MNS with 5 articles explaining the medical condition (goes in categories + add on site SEO)....

Then 3 reviews for the top 3 products I use to treat the condition (but i am just faking like I have the illness)

the condition usually requires on-going treatment so hopefully I could get returning customers unless they just go on amazon the next time

I want to add a buy now button from my page to spice it up leading them to amazon

but i'm wondering if the amazon ecommerce store site would do me better hmmmmm

Amazon is an excellent program. It's just one of several that I use, but we pull $XX,XXX/mo from it alone. Unrelated sales around the holidays are very nice

Regarding the Payment amazon have three option
1- Check
2- Gift Card
3- Direct Account Transfer

but i am not sure how much time amazon take to release the amount, can you tell me ?

Make sure the site that you signed up as an affiliate doesn't infringe on a trademark name..

I signed up the site to monetise for a particular technology product and got rejected cos of the site name (contains the trademark name)..

I have another approach - very few people is working on Electronic because earnings are capped on 4 %, if you take any other products you can get up to 8 % (depend on numbers of sold products) so I took electronic Telephones, tablets, computer parts like motherboards, power supply etc. much easier to do SEO and more sales compensate low aff cut %.
