Has anyone found out a way to get bulk images?
It takes forever to keep downloading single pictures.

You can see previous page someone have told us the tool or script
I recommend using this tool and excluding all urls containing: avatars.

Code:
hxxp://vvvvvv.exisoftware.com/news/download-all-images-from-a-website.html

It basically just scrapes the website for all images (AKA popular pins) and excluding anything with avatars in url will remove all profile pictures.

Alternative, set the minimum image resolution to 51x51 pixels (as avatar thumbnails are 50pixels by 50pixels)

OR

A tip how to download many large images instantly with some Javascript.

Go to Pinterest popular and write this in your browser:
Code:
javascript:function get() { var abc = []; for (var i=0; i < document.images.length; i++) { if(document.images[i].getAttribute("class")=="PinImageImg") {abc[abc.length] = document.images[i].src; } } for(var i=0;i<abc.length; i++) { document.write("<img src=\"" + abc[i].replace("_b.jpg", "_f.jpg")+"\" /><br />"); } } get();
This will show all the images from the current Pinterest page.
Now just save (Ctrl+S) the page and you will have downloaded all the images in large format.
Hope this helps somebody.
P.S. This didn't work in Firefox, so I used IE.

OR you can find your self..

You have to follow the OP guide (in the first page) step-by-step, if you do, before you can pin the image read this post from me

I try to implement what you are saying:

1. I go to menu About>Pin It Button, scroll to up and then I found it
hxxp://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3bQk21PedrQ/T0M8X2jubRI/AAAAAAAAAAU/_7K8ZB9zDZU/s1600/Pin%2BIt.png

then I drag it to Bookmark toolbar (I use firefox browser)

2. I go to my blog, then open image post page (that i want to pin up, that previously, save/download-upload to post-publish), than click Pin It button in browser bookmark toolbar this will trigger to show this image (list of image in a page):
hxxp://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iLUv209il2Y/T0M-10DNnCI/AAAAAAAAAAs/dulmJh59-BA/s320/Pin%2BIt%2B2.png

when cursor hover to the image, it will show "Pin This" button.

3. Point the cursor at the image i want to 'pin it' and then Click "Pin This" button.

Is that right? (sorry n00b)

Waste of time for me, just sat here doing this crap for over an hour and the images dont go to my blog they go to http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WXqYzZB02_0/T0Nt9YYEY9I/AAAAAAAAAIs/AB4afSDm01k/s1600/285415695104538187_QZC2iqqd_b.jpg

) Right click and save the images from Pinterest onto your computer. This is easy and I did the 100 test pins in about 3 minutes. Make a folder called Pinterest on your desktop and save the images there to keep yourself organized.
"That means we are PINNING the same images that are already available on PINTEREST, right?"

4) upload the 100 images that you just downloaded to your blog. This is the most time consuming step. I did them 3 at a time. You may be able to do all 100 at once...i dont know, I didnt try.

"How its going to get traffic to our blog?"

5) go through your blog and pin the images that you just uploaded to your blog. write really basic descriptions for the pins, such as "hahah" or "yumm". Really stupid stuff...this isnt hard.
"If we PIN from our blog, it will be uploaded to PINTEREST, right? So that means we are uploading the same photos that are already available on the PINTEREST"

Amazing method:

Did a test with 20 images and got 47 UVs, but no clicks. Today I upscaled to 100 images, to see if UVs are linear. Will post results her. I today test if UVs just come immediately after pinning or if the pins have a longer effect. Anyway there should be a bot who automats the process: Scrape images, put it on a post, update the post and auto pins it. Loool I know I am dreaming.

Exactly!

Could i possibly promote my site using this method i think i might be able to

This is a total numbers game. I had a GOOD go at this for 3 days, but I have decided there ARE better methods, I just can't monetize the traffic!

i had some success but not muck i only pinned one photo and got 138 visitor to my blog but i am monetizing with adsense so there is no clicks yet but i sure seen pinterest potential

How are you trying to make money with Pinterest? Ad revenue or affiliate commissions? If it's ad revenue, blog about what you pinned. If it's affiliate commissions, either make the pic go directly to the product, or put the product on your blog and talk about it. No one is going to make a lot of money by saving hundreds of pics to their hard drive and putting them all on a blog. It's going to irritate people and they will exit right out of the blog.

i have go to make a new post, up load 5 to 10 pics in one post, and then publish it.

but i don't understand the next step "Go to blog...", would you explain it to me, i'm completely n00b

Here my fist post hxxp://pinterest-invite-app.blogspot.com/2012/02/set-of-wardrobe-1.html

I hope my blog will be come example for this thread
Looks like you had it answered, but I'll try to explain it to.

Go to blog, after you post your 5 to 10 pictures, click "view blog" so you go view your own blog.

Then push the Pin It button. The images you just posted should be the first you see. Pick one, Pin It, then click on view Pin, then edit the link for it and put in where you want people clicking on the image to go.

Make sense?

So far, I'd say this method is pretty bad at making money though lol.

Well, I spent hours yesterday posting about 1k pins that linked directly to affiliate products then woke up today to see 550 clicks, 150 unique visitors, $0 earnings. :(
Those women on there are just window shopping.

Here are the results: Pinned 100 images, got only 20 views, got clicks but no conversion.
Probably reason is, I pinned at noon MEZ, when I got the views. So no American viewed it.
Means that there are Europeans using pinterest, but not as much, so today I will pin while America is awake. (100 images again).

I deleted my account already. I don't want to deal with all the copyright issue going on.

Never heard of pinterest before this thread. Searched around and got me an invite :) Too bad they just went down for maintenance...I was just starting to get the hang of pinning
