Whaaaat? Are you sure it is what you did?
I have hundreds of shortened links...no issue!

It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not the links are shortened. Someone on Pinterest is going to remember the picture. Saving hundreds of pictures and putting them on your blog is an accident waiting to happen. Someone is going to report you. Use embed. If anyone gets in trouble, it will be Pinterest and not you. When you take 100 pictures from Pinterest, put them on your blog, and put them back on Pinterest, you are bound to be caught. These are the most popular pictures on Pinterest, sometimes being repinned hundreds of times. Do you know how many people saw the picture? If they see it a second time on your board, click on it, and are taken to your blog, they know that it's not where the picture originated.

If you're going to use Pinterest for affiliate commissions, make the picture either go directly to the product at the store or to your blog where that goes to the product at the store.

Only did this in the past 24hours so a tad early to show but currently just sending the traffic to an adsense blog and crunching some numbers.

If the traffic is good I'll look into publishing 20K + a day spread over multiple accounts / IP's just in case they catch on.
You won't have to worry about adsense catching on. You'll have a worse wrath to deal with. A woman will catch on. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Don't steal the pictures. Someone will recognize the picture when it goes back on Pinterest and will report you.

How did you do all these products from Amazon? Are you direct linking to Amazon rather than you own blog? Are you able to share that iMacro you mentioned few posts above?

Thanks

Will share it soon for sure, I'm just ironing out some bugs etc to make it more publically usable.

Yes I'm direct linking to Amazon although I may consider testing going through my blog, not sure yet...

Glad to be of some help if i can,a couple of i suppose obvious but other worthwhile things you can do is that you can also share a Pin with another Pinner you know by using an @mention in the description, just like you do on other social sites like Twitter so if you know someone who has paid more than a passing interest in a certain product then show them your new one. Also don`t forget to put a pin it button on your site to allow people to pin stuff for you

Yesterday, not as good. No orders from going directly to a page with dresses on sale. A link going to just one dress had an order, for something else entirely unrelated. And it only costs about $3, LOL.

Hey guys if you want to find out if people are pinning from your site just use the link
Code:
http://pinterest.com/source/yoursitename.com/
replacing "yoursite.com" with your own url

Just a note for anyone who is about to ask for an invite. READ THE THREAD....

Anyway...

I've got ALOT less click throughs since yesterday, not doing anything different, looks like people are going pin-crazy!

Yesterday was no good for me either. The sale items got no repins. Last night I decided that I had enough of the sale items and tried a non sale item. Many repins but no sales. I figured that the people with money to spend were out somewhere. LOL I also repinned food and got more repins. The people with no money to spend who only look at food are on during the weekends. LOL I'm going back to doing Pinterest during the week in the daytime and not on the weekends.

I'm actually getting alot of what appears to be genuine girls liking and re-pinning things like hairdryers and straightners etc.

Best one yet was a Professional hair straightener stand.

Oh, I don't post the sale items. I post popular items I think will be repinned and link it to the sales page LOL.

Although I did pin some of the dresses on the sales page too. But usually I just post things I hope to be repinned a lot, then hope a few people who click through buy something. That's why I like Amazon for this, very poor traffic and there is a wide selection of items the person could buy.
