What is Robo-calling? Simply put, it is automated cold-calling via bots.
If you've ever cold-called in the past, you know it sucks. You also know its a numbers game.
Here's what I want to do:
Create a Multi-threaded software platform that makes (at the start) 1000 - 2000 calls per minute. This is between 1.44mil - 2.88 million calls per day.
Create scraping program to sift all the US online phonebooks in the business categories and target the small businesses, meaning the mom and pops. According to the US Census Bureau there are over 21Million sole proprietors (meaning mom and pops) in the US as of 2011. This means these people are most likely to be the ones who answer a voicemail and hear our message.
Now, since we are targeting only the companies that are small enough to listen to our voicemail message - btw, we leave voicemail messages because no one wants to talk to a salesman - much less a bot that isn't going to be able to respond like a human would.. We leave the voicemail because 1) its a robot calling (duh) and 2)It's a lot easier to listen to a sales pitch when you don't have put your defenses up like you would when you're preparing yourself to tell someone you're not interested and hangup. 3) we use a certain type of sales technique that is so subtle that they would not even know they're being sold on something.. This is where OUR product comes in.
I have a product that is $100 per month that I want to target to these people.. Here are the numbers:
Conv. Ratio | Total sales | Value if only 25% stayed on for 6 months
0.01% 2,100units $1,260,000
0.1% 21,000units $12,600,000
0.5% 105,000units $63,000,000.00
Do I need to go further? I believe the true conversion rate for my product will be more along the lines of 1% so you can double the last figure.
Problems that will arise: Merchant account that would accept up to $200Million in the first 30 days.. lol.
