Followed the steps as mentioned by the OP.

Created a new blog.

Stats:
Pins I posted on my new blog = 17
Traffic (10 minutes) = 30 Uniques

Not bad

Hmm.. so you need the Pin It button on the blog for it to Pin? Doesn't explain the reason why I can't upload from my computer either.. but I'll try that.

The Pin It button is added in your browser's bookmarks, so when you publish your post and goto it. Click on the Pin it bookmark and it will allow you to Pin your images.

Yes, It requires you to join with FB or Twitter

Okay, so that didn't work either, but it does make it much easier for pinning!

I discovered my problem... you need to make a board first, then you can pin, haha.. thought the OP's instructions were step by step.

Other Pinterest n00bs.. make board, pin to board. Profit?

Edit.. and while typing this, my first pin has been repinned twice. Wow.
