I quit just over 2 years ago and haven't smoked a single cigarette since. I'm tempted for about 10 seconds at a time - everytime I pass by someone smoking or that smells like smoke - but it's not even hard to resist it anymore. As I've told people, I can't predict whether I will be hit by a truck next week, but I can certainly increase the odds of being there as my step-sons grow up by not smoking...
But in the end, I did it for me cause that's the only way that it works. I just finally said at the end of that pack, that would be the very last one - and it was. No patches, no gum, no e-cigarettes. In fact, I've done research on the e-cigs and have to admit, that they seem about as dangerous as coffee (which I drink) - but for me, after 2+ years, I just don't want to even take one step on THAT slippery slope, ya know?
PS. Anyone else notice that the OP made ONE post on this thread and never posted anything else? Kinda makes me think that he's sitting there in a smoke filled room, huffin aind puffin... Hope not though...
