That is correct if you use CJ you shouldn't have any problems. I always get my payout and only wait around 2 months. Since I get consecutive signups I don't really notice the wait anymore.

Some of my students are making money. For example one student was a magician and I helped him get more gigs with his site. Another one sells their handcraft goods online. So yes some of my students are making money but just like anything a lot of people will quit early on just because its not instant.

Now what about this idea - Advertise cheap ass prices for web design, like $50 and you can have it completed from anywhere from a few days to a week.

Then have them buy the hosting and then pay you the $50 for design. Make a WP site.

Awesome post Bells ringing in my head. However he is not guarantee'ing them that just setting up a site will make them money. OP is just giving a orientation that this can make them money if they work towards it.
You can try one of this twist mate:
After you get them signed up with hosting n domain. Make them to sign up as your referrals for any CPA network. Tell them to join your private forum (or BHW itself) where you can help them in their journey. They make money you make money too Kind of residual income to You. Work once and get paid again and again. Keep motivating them and make them to see their $1 which will keep them going.

Could easily ask if I can borrow a class room at my college and post up flyers around the college as well! I bet I could get a ton of people to come this way. Once I get going on my ORM business I might have a crack at this as well. It's interesting because now that I remember, I once had the idea of how cool it would be if I could get a teacher's degree and see if I could push some form of IM onto schools and be one of the first IM teachers. I don't know why I didn't think of doing this before!

Sometimes your link might not give you the commission based on my experience but if you contact hostgator and show them the signup email from your students they add the $100 commission to your cj account. also some signed up the next day. I still get some of my students that didn't signup wanting to signup. I also send them to my site liftedpress which helps sell them and allows them to pick from a slew of premium designs

Besides pushing your website, I move to start generating some ideas to get free users w/o paying for ads.

I'll start:

2. Post on other FB pages in the city

To sweeten your offer you could include email setup for them. Sign them up for a free Google Apps account so they can have xyz@theirdomain email addresses. Could also make this a simple fee to setup once for a set number of emails.

Email marketing software is also big for the business crowd. I believe iContact has the best affiliate program, if you refer someone on the $9.95/mo plan it's $70 commission. If you're doing major volume though, I'd go with Aweber and collect the ongoing commissions (on the base plan I think it's like ~$6/mo per person).

Another twist is to go to the local Recreation Center. For around $30 they can let you use a classroom and you can advertise via flyers, in addition they normally post a schedule. If you are there on a regular basis you can have multiple classes like Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. In addition if you live in an apartment complex or go to a laundromat you can post flyers there. You would be surprised how many people do not own a washing machine yet they own a computer and have internet connections.

I would like to add, that I am not sure if there are premium WP theme designers that have affiliate programs but that might be a way to double dip. You give them the hostgator hosting and earn $100 then the WP theme can earn you ????

Could be a great little webinar series, or just standard video recordings that you can point people to if you aren't doing an in-person class at that time. Also lets people watch at their leisure if they can't make it out to a class.
