Apple Products - Business Distributor

Update : Well, I think I have been scammed. Yes, perhaps I was a fool but I was willing to take a risk.

After I sent the money, he was never online and didn't reply.

Bank account was not even in his name and he had an invoice which he emailed to me.

He did send an email saying that his phone was buggy (coming from someone who sells iphones?) and he insisted on 5 products.

So go ahead and call me dumb, idiotic and foolish. I know.

I also got scammed on another forum for some work I wanted done and I foolishly paid using Liberty Reserve because the guy didnt want to use Paypal due to chargebacks.

Oh well.

So here are the lessons:

1. If they don't want to use Paypal, chances are they are scammers.
2. If they don't want to answer phone calls, chances are they are scammers.
3. I would use paypal, cause if they scam me, I can issue a chargeback (that has saved me before)
4. If the say their phone is buggy, chances are they are scammers.
5. Always pay 50% and the balance 50% after work is done to protect yourself.

I will still wait a few days and see. If he does not reply, does anyone know anyone in NJ who can look him up?

You can add this to the list:
6. If they are offering a price with which you can undercut anyone on Ebay, sell hundreds of products every day, think to yourself "why do they give me this great opportunity to be a millionaire?".

As for waiting a few days to solve this, are you stupid? You need to involve the cops, the feds, the bank, right at this very instant.

How do I involve the bank, feds, and cops? Won't they say that it was on my own agreement that I sent the money? How will the bank stop the wire as it has already done through?

Yes - I am not aware of what I can do to get my money back and stop this guy from scamming other people. any help is much appreciated.

Well, you can start with calling them. Of course the transfer was done via agreement, but fraud is still a crime. The bank will not help you, but they might stop other wires from arriving.

What I would suggest though, is that you spend a couple hundred bucks more on a plane ticket and turn up at the doorstep of the scammer. Don't leave unless you receive either of the following: A Money. B Collateral C blood on your shoes.

Has anyone at least reported his user maybe the site moderators can help or at least delete the thread.

Also the best deal you can get in Brand new apple gear is buying it on base.

free sales tax on 100% brand new gear.

I don't think the thread should be deleted so that other people can learn from my mistake.

Apparently another user who I am on with on Skype has also sent money and is waiting.

But yes, I will report the user so he can't post anymore of these kind of threads. But alas, I think he just wanted to scam 1 or 2 people and that was all he needed.

oh man that sucks. I was about to email him myself until I noticed he wanted all of my personal details, he could even hack your paypal or bank account with as much information as he was asking for.

Definitely need to get a mod to edit his information out of the first post at least. There are "stupid people" seeing the first post and emailing him, without bothering to check the rest of the thread.

Exhibit A would be the person who just posted asking for more information.

Well another user who I am talking to is also pissed. So we are working on reporting him to the cops and then taking it from there. Karma will get him too!

I was doing a little research about prices and decided not to pursue but now I'm glad I didn't. Sorry to hear about you others who got scammed tho. :(

How long has it been since anyone has placed an order?

IF YOU FELL FOR THIS SCAMMER CALL E*TRADE AND REPORT FRAUD ON HIS ACCOUNT (if you did wire transfer) HERES THE PHONE NUMBER:

Good idea. I am going to do that. Apparently this douche bag is 28 years old. I was checking out other forums and then don't allow Apple products to be sold, eva! Might be a good idea here too. Just to protect the ignorant and honest (like me lol)

Wow after reading this thread I really feel bad for the scammed. Is there anything good anymore without being scammed? Probably not, when the red flags jump up and we chose to ignore them this is what happens. It totally sucks! I hope they catch this idiot and lock him up. IMHO!
