Investing in Romania

1. Go to Romania
2. Kidnap Brown Bears
3.????
4. Profit

maybe baby-bears you can kidnap but hardly with mature ones :)

I live here so trust me when i say this dude....
DONT INVEST A DIME HERE !
Coruption is at its peak and trust me with all the taxes and shit that the Romanian government suffocates you with you wont be able to do anything.
As for investing in pieces of land or apartaments: BAD IDEEA TO
I own land here and trust me the prices keep droping and no one in hell is looking to buy.
You are right about something though...
A shit load of money is going towards Wind Energy but i dont think the government is the one that is investing. This is the only thing i could advise you to invest in. They are building windmills all over the place.

Why would I pay taxes?:p

But if property keeps dropping in value It means I could get a nice office building for cheap for an seo company, graphics design, video game design etc.

P.S: Let me know when you buy the office building an start the SEO company cause i would like to be the head of your team :P

I had a lot of luck in social manipulation and scams in order to build traffic. It involves offline flyers and sign-up forms with submit buttons jacked with ads.

It is still something that I would feel comfortable doing, because I'm targeting the brainless moron (like cab drivers or cheap, chinese iphone replica owners); I would be the first to help people out of poverty if I could and if I knew that what I would do would make a difference for them. But I also know that people don't change, the moron is way too familiar with living in a hole and ranting about society because he'll never, ever change.

So like I said, I'll keep on profiting, and when I get enough money, I'll move to fucking Honolulu or Hawaii and I'll be the first to try transcontinental offline scamming (scamming Romania from remote location).

If you're ok with social engineering, you can go to www.ejobs.ro and post a recruitment ad. They allow you to ask for proofs via e-mail address so if you're hiring 18-26 yrs old car drivers, make sure you tell them "you need to take a driver's test, please submit your cv at [email protected]" where you setup an aweber autoresponder and send them to your website.

Can't you make more money scamming Americans or British, not Romanians? One of the best scams is to get a 35-45 year old woman to fall in love with you and ask her for money. Do this to like 10 women and you can be raking in alot of cash.

Since the economy is global now, certain locations are better to actually be located. That you wouldn't normal start a business in,but something international like game design, cgi movies, seo etc. Would benefit from a place that has cheap property

Does that river in Bucharest travel fast? It could be used to generate the power for several buildings if it is deep enough and fast enough.

Lmao :)) I don't doubt that this would work, but still.. that's some nasty deep shit going on down there..

Investing or not,I dare you...not that it's a bad thing or something, come to Romania and see a lot of beautiful girls you have ever seen....I mean a lot of them....the country is great, the prices are good, the scenary,etc... The thing is:I've been to Gb,Germany,Belgium, struggling to find a nice woman... Anyway....visit !

Come to Romania and get robbed by these beautiful girls and they gipsy, boyfriends. I'm serious throw your money in a trash can and at least you will lose money without getting fucked up by the Romanian Government and the gipsy Mob, if you invest here.

Let me give you a clear example with Rosia Money, where there is lots of gold or silver. The project has like 7 years delay because the Government is very corrupt. They made a deal with investors, got the money and everything but they wont release the "environment authorization" because they want more money. In other words they fucked the investors.

Stay away from this shitty country.

Why don't you have the balls to say "Please don't invest here, I do not want competition" ?

and btw, your comment about making it seem that all beautiful girls(1. have boyfriends 2. those boyfriends are gipsies.) Shows you are either Paranoid or failed math during school.

You're not even worth replying but:

1. I don't have any business in Romania but this is out of the point, there is no market there to be competition, if someone wants you out of business they just pay the Romania IRS to do everyday controls or someone to burn your place. Not to say that there are crime organization controlling the business area.

2. It doesn't matter if let's 20% of girls are nice, if 80% are gold diggers and they are targeting foreign people with money what's are the changes to stumble into one of these girls? Do some research there were tons of cases where foreign people were drugged and robbed by beautiful girls.

Your just a negative paranoid loser, if you don't have anything useful gtfo.

I've seen alot of people saying that Romania is a great location to invest in,and others basically saying I am retarded if I do it. I wont know what is best unless I actually do it soon.
Hahaha. Good luck. :happysad:

Romania is not a good place to invest in anything.

It did have potential 5-10 years ago, like someone said on the first page, Nokia built a factory here. But they moved last year to Moldavia. They simply fired everyone and left the building empty. In the last two years there have been close to no investments because of political instability, high taxes and the corrupt system. For example, i've seen this article about a certain foreign company that intended to invest here. Asked why they didn't eventually do it, the manager said that when he went to get the paper for the land they were gonna build the factory, he was asked for a bribe "to speed things up". And it wasn't that they didn't have the money, but they just don't work and don't want to work that way.

You mentioned Rosia Montana Gold Corporation. That program and RMGC have low chances to get off the ground after so many years. RMGC has been pumping tons of money for political lobby, buying journalists and all kinds of experts, even natives to Rosia Montana, trying to convince people that Romania has only to gain from approving the project. But they had bad luck. Rosia Montana and the mountain that contains the gold are protected by law because they contain roman underground galleries and graves since the year 131 when the romans first started mining there for gold. They called it Alburnus Maior. It's obvious, everyone that got paid would have no problem rewriting the laws. But the subject came to the media and some investigation journalists are still fighting strong against it, taking it as far as there were protests organized in the street against the project. If you know romanian or understand anything with google translate, read this article http://voxpublica.realitatea.net/po...i-in-proiectul-de-la-rosia-montana-69460.html

An example of how things are done in Romania is the Transilvania Highway. This highways construction lasted 7 years, but not because the Bechtel company actually finished it, but because after spending 1 billion euros to build 50km of highway (keep in mind, in 7 years, 25 mil euros/km), they simply left. Right now the "highway" starts at nowhere and leads to nowhere, it's in the middle of the field and will probably never get finished. No one was ever held responsible for this. And this how things go in Romania.

If you want to sell or buy something from the state you need to know you'll never win the auction if you don't pay more bribe money than the rest. It doesn't matter if your products are cheaper and ten times better, nobody cares about this.

The ideal country from this region to invest in is Moldavia, but they are heavily influenced by the russians and you need steel balls to make business with those guys. Also, i suspect the corruption is even higher than here, but so is the ROI.

"Corruption" is the cost of doing business, your going to have to do it in the United States,United Kingdom, Germany,Romania etc. Theres just different styles of corruption, and some countries call it campaign donations and have it legalized.
