Hey.

I've recently been trying a bunch of techniques including some CL's mentioned on BHW that includes email follow up to a $1.00 sign-up.

I posted an Ad on craigslist, got a ton of replies responded to them with the link got 29 clicks, with most of them saying thanks I'll give it a try and thanks for the link.

Out of the 29 links none clicked out of the above campaign and out of all the clicks approx 300 since I've started, I've received 5 completed offers.

Are these typical conversions for CPA?

Am I doing something wrong? Should I be faking referrer, iframing some other techniques?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is shaving, period. Split test to different networks to at least know which one converts best for you. Yup, that sad thing is an industry standard that we have to learn to live with.

Any Recommended networks with higher convs?

Besides joining another network, you should instead choose another way of getting your traffic. CL is considered to most network unqualified traffic, so you sure you checked your cpa tos to see if you are breaking the rules. I would worry more about that, than my conversion rate when in reality you could not get paid and after all it wouldnt have matter how many click or conversion you got.

just my 2 cents

I suggest that you look around at the top CPA networks recommended here like Peerfly, Maxbounty, EWA, Neverblue, CPAtank, Adcendmedia etc. Apply to around 20, hit or miss, some will accept or deny. See Affiliatepaying.com for reviews. Inquire the manager if they would allow your marketing method and tell them that your leads are quality. You've got to test which network will yield back positive result with your kind of traffic. You'll be the only one to know.

Shaving can definitely occur but it usually happens from the advertiser and not necessarily at the network level.

5 conversions on 300 clicks is a terrible rate. It should be converting between 10%-25% of the time.

If you're working with the content locker or incentive offers then you should definitely give us a try. We've got a huge selection of campaigns that convert well and can support traffic from nearly any country.

As my experience network owner never do shaving its occur from Advertiser.
Please try to change your campaign as well traffic way.

Yeah.I'm also having similiar problem.210 clicks but no conversion.

I don't understand why this CL traffic (through email) is considered "bad" traffic. If anything it is extremely targeted. Sure you may make up a little "white-lie" to get them to go to the offer...but it is targeted.
