Anyone who has Xrumer

What kind of server are you running it on Dedicated or VPS?

How much RAM?

How much bandwidth?

Also would it be efficient on a VPS?

dedicated with windows
but you could get away with VPS, 512-1024

Also what company do you use? As some don't like xrumer.

dedicated
Code:
http://server.lu/dedicated-ds2000
100 MBIT unmetered traffic
You must install VmWare + Win

dedicated with windows are very expensive

nessebar, did you try server.lu or is it just a recommendation?

Is here anybody from europe and thinks/hopes, there will be no legal issues?

im currently using server01.com and its great, support is also good

another recommendation is vrtservers.net, but support sucks, takes days to receive responses, no chat support and server also takes days to be ready. But so far heard from other users that its ok with xrumer.

in server01, it only took roughly an hour and server is already ready to use. Im using their plan $99 plus windows so $125 a month, thats cheap right?

I contacted the server.lu guys, wow...

==>>>>> The guy said it is possible to have additional IPs from different class C <<<<<==

Even reimaging hence a new os is free of charge, this is important for me.

Let's see if it is possible to pay a luxemburg company with a virtual visa card from us, then I am completely satisfied.

I will purchase that dedi soon and tell you.

cooooookies

Can you run from your own computer using apache friends xampp or something? If so then what would your computer requirements be and would you get into trouble with your ISP? PS. I have unlimited bandwidth so thats not a prob

why would you run a desktop-based app to a server environment? Xrumer wont run on a xampp, its not a script.

running xrumer on a pc is not worth it, believe me ive been there. I even bought another machine(desktop) dedicated for xrumer, its runs ok but not at its optimum level as its suppose to be. a dedicated server is the best way to go, ive learned my lesson

there are cheap ones that deliver, $120/mo

Im not looking at large results plus its a lot easier to understand when running from your own server. Everytime I look at the screenshots it looks like a desktop app. How many links was you getting from your dedicated desktop pc per month?

Maybe my class-c comment if u red it was somehow misleading, XRumer is a desktop app (win).

I had problems with my ISP running it from home, presumably because of the many DNS requests, don't know. Now I am using a vpn and face no problems.

If you want to scale up a dedi is for most people required. But test it first on your local pc to estimate the cpu-usage:

I am running on a older amd dual core== 50 simultaneous posting threads equal 100% cpu-usage and 5MBit/s traffic usage (registering and posting at once)

How many links... huh, depends on your marketing capabilities. A wild guess is that if you just wildly spam, one out of thousand succesful posts will remain (for a while) on old, unmoderated forums. If you want more, you have to use clever techniques which are more time-consuming.

i have 1mbit and 2GB ram and it works very slow, in west europe internet cost 5 times more than in USA

if you are outside of us you can maybe try fdcservers. net ... dont have tried with xrumer but with other bh projects with no problem ...

great an xrumer thread ... can some1 clarify, is there also a monthly fee on top of the purchase price, thnx.

And in eastern europe is 10 times more than in the western europe :yield:

I run mine on 100mb/s with 2gb or ram and unlimited bandwith, working great but it crash from time to time :(

And there is no monthly fee.

My internet is only 6.5MBPS, is the fastest connection I can get where I am, will that be enough?

Hi snowwhite,

I am using fdcservers

However, if I max out numbers of thread all the way to 1000 then the dns start cracking and I cant' even ping windows

Autopligg run just fine though

It's also expensive $199

You said something about http://www.server01.com/

Well, that seems like good. Are they aware that we're running xrumer? Can I be open about that?

ANother issue is that guy charge $.35 per extra G. I often exceed bandwidth limit if I am not careful and I can get slapped with thousands of dollars bill.

With vrtservers you often don't know how much you use untill you're done with yoru first month.

Now I've heard some people rent linux server and run vmware. What is that? Does it work? Is it fast?

Looks like I am going to lose my $199. I'll just run autopligg like crazy on that server. I got to set the time between threads to 50 ms. That means the posting speed is greatly reduced.

By the way it's the DNS that's fuck up right? Can I just use other DNS? Hmm.. maybe from my vrtserver DNS. Will that like work.
