Thanks for the quick response. Yes the links are alive. I will adjust the connections like you recommended.
I have another question about the RSS ping technique. Can I use whois and trackback links for the XML file or would you recommend just using comment post backlinks or can I use all three?
You can use them all, and any other kind of link as well.
I've just bought it too. Have submitted reg details. Waiting for reg no. Any chance of a fast track?
If you mean a fast start to get going then check out:

Its the best place to start.
Feature suggestion:
It would be cool if we could use the power of scrapebox to scrape whatever content we like to. Scrapebox could provide an addon that let us modify the HTTP headers, request methods (POST, GET), URL parameters as well as the regex to extract the data we want to. I assume it requires a lot of work but it would be cool!
Thanks this post if you like the idea!
I think this is probably a bad idea. Scrapebox is super powerful, but they have done a fantastic job of making things pretty "dummy" proof if you will. The biggest problem here that I would see is two fold.
First a standard user is unlikely to be able or know how to use this, or, perhaps, have need of it. So its a lot of time and work in development for a select group to use. I know that they have a laundry list of features already that they want to add that many users could use, but its all about having the time to do it.
Second this would be a support nightmare. Firstly because they would spend all day trying to teach people how to use it, then they would spend all night troubleshooting everyones RegExes and everything else trying to help them get stuff to work. This would be bad for us all because with the time spent on this, development of the tool its self would take a hit and we would not get new features or updates as fast or at all.
On the flip side, its a good idea in general, but I just don't think scrapebox is the place for implementation, but of course thats up to Sweetfunny, I am just throwing out my 2 cents.
On the note of getting it done elsewhere, you could have it made, and I don't think it would be that intense. I have had multiple tools made that work with files out side of scrapebox. One even parses url lists for RegEx statement, but it just works with the urls, not the actual content of the pages of urls. But I know a guy who could do what you want, PM me if you want his info, I have no idea how much it would cost.
I have a support issue with scrape box. I've got it all setup right, and have tried various different instances of scraping URLs from keywords.
Each time I try to scrape the URLs harvested box only shows one result and it's an odd string of characters. Has anyone seen this before? Can you help?
I think you will need to contact support on this one as they will probably need some files from your scrapebox folder.
I've tried it over and over and over again but I seem to be having problems with the proxy harvester.
Whenever I test a list of proxies I have, Scrapebox will crash before the list is completed. I get this:
Access violation at address 009DA4D4 in module 'scrapebox.exe'. Read of address 00000000.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thats a windows error. Also an uninstaller won't work cause scrapebox works like a portable app, it isnt installed.
What happens in a nut shell is that scrapebox is trying to use a memory address that it was originally assigned but is no longer available. (more or less).
This can happen for lots of reasons. An anti-virus/malware checker could be messing with the memory addresses that were assigned to scrapebox. An actual virus could have taken over the addresses.
I have seen this happen when there isn't enough system resources available either. Scrapebox does many things in memory, so if you are testing a list and it gets to the end and you tell it to do something else and it doesn't have enough memory to use then it can crash.
It can also be an issue with your core windows system files.
In short I would try to test a smaller list of proxies and see if that works, cut the list down to like 10 proxies as a quick test. If it crashes its likely something other then being out of resources. If it doesn't try a bigger list, but maybe half or less of the size of list you are currently working with. If that works then just go up until it starts crashing and you will know your limits.
If that doesn't work, go hunting down your security programs and add allow rules for scrapebox and then if that doesn't work you can check out this nice windows fix all:
http://www.ehow.com/how_5903366_fix-windows-components-vista.html
it says vista but the premise is the same for other versions.
Can anyone shed some light on this question please? A yes or no will do
Every time I follow the instructions in the 'Index your links with RSS Ping' video I have been creating a new XML file and uploading it to my server. Once I have pinged the RSS services can I delete this XML file on the server or is it best creating a new one each time?
Hello,
The payment method Paypal is not support in my country yet!
But i can use Google Checkout, Click Bank, or any other Gateway that can take a Visa or Master card!
Can i use ScrapeBox with an internet line speed of 1 mb/sec or i need 2mb/sec?
Thank you,
Paypal or Credit card via paypal is the only way. So you could have a friend buy it for you if they have paypal or can pay with a card via paypal.
You can use it with 1Mbit connection just fine, just plan on turning the connections WAY down to like 5 or 3 and going slow. You might max out at like 10 connections etc... Just test.
