Can't say for the PR checker, but I can say that the proxy test pulls an actual google search result, just like when harvesting. It pulls this for a simple keyword. Makes sense right? The best way to test and see if a proxy will be able to search google is to actually search google.

The problem is, I have done that, and my scanner actually spits out valid proxies to be used, but many that I have tried that are actually valid by the SB proxy check, turn out the trigger the "query automation" window, which doesn't make the proxy valid. The proxies my scanner says are valid, really are valid and can be used to query google, yet SB says "IP blocked".

No, ScrapeBox does not use privoxy or similar.

Just had someone offline answer my question. They did say last 3-4 days there was a decaptcher service problem with checking balance within scrapebox but the box and decap is working fine just not showing balance.. At least I know now it wasn't me. Just letting everyone know.

I've never had issues like this with link checker before. Any ideas? I've also tested the free standalone link checker (running at 20 threads) on vps and my own computer and getting the same thing (i.e. "not found" and "error" results for links where the link is there).
For a bit more context, I'm checking a link report of approx 14k for a list of 400+ urls.

May be you have an error when configuring link checker.
For example you try to search not your link.

Are you using anchor text in your websites.txt file?

If so remove the spinnable anchor text from that file before linkchecking.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how long it takes yahoo to reset the 999 error, I'm trying to reverse engineering some links and can't get it to go away with proxies (pp and public) and with no proxy at all.

It seems to take a good day for me.

Anyone having errors with decaptcher sevice? I have used scrapebox error free for months. Today it says error in getting balance.. Could someone else check this on your end?

As softtouch said, its not a 3rd party service. I don't think (based on log) that there has been any changes to the proxy harvester for some time, quite some time. It has always been accurate for me. It does as I said, just like harvesting, so it would be hard to be off. Now if you are getting into advanced operators with your scanner or not doing it like scrapebox does then it could be a different story.

The link checker hasn't changed in forever. Its a straight text checker. So if you have spin text or bad formatting then it isn't going to be checking for links its going to pull that text. So put just urls in there and try it.

It pulls the html code and looks for the link. So when comparing to the actual web page, look at the html, also check it in a different browser. The link may only be there for that session in that browser.

Just to confirm, there's no anchor text in my websites.txt
Have just been trying to check straight urls.
Tested across IE and Firefox and the links I've manually checked that come up as "Not found" show in both. Used to work like a charm - scratching my head on this???
