I have been trying my luck activating Scrapebox for a long time now !!!
I have sent a mail to them - and yeah they responded stating - its activated -
Today, I just checked it - and found that it's still not activated - I can see there - "no valid licence found" -
I'm in the middle of a tight project - it would be great if the thread starter could help me in activating the licence. I'll be online here and would be waiting for your response (tried to pm you - but couldn't)

I have been trying to learn a bit about scrapebox, except I just bought it yesterday along with some private proxies from YPP. I try and harvest and nothing ever harvests, even when I have a footprint with a keyword I know should work.

Any advice? No idea whats wrong here.

Well, did you forget my case?
You asked me if I'm using it on the same computer or not - I've replied long back. Anyways, I'll tell you one more time :- I'll be using in my VPS.
Please, be quick, like I previously stated, I'm in the middle of tight project.
If you can get things working at my end, it'd be of great help to me.
You may pm me and I can get you all info which you would be needing to activate my licence.

Sry I was cooking.

Scrapebox can only be run from the instance whether it be vps or computer from which you registered it. You can do 1 free license transfer per month to a new computer or vps though.

try havesting without any modifiers/footprints first

make sure your proxies are alive and working, click google, yahoo, and aol for harvesting

Well, I'm okay with that.
I didn't use it till now !!!!
It's still an unused one !!!
I have made payment and that's it.
Didn't use it at all - because I couldn't activate it.


1 - I purchased it through BHW link (about 3 months back)
2- Wanted to use it the same moment - then came to know that I had to contact support and send emails etc... so didn't activate it then.
3- Like 2 weeks back I was having time ...so decided to activate it.
4- Clicked on the activate link and entered my name , paypal email and also paypal transaction number and clicked activate button - I got a message stating it'll be activate in 24 hours or so (I don't remember the exact msg though)
5- And then, the same day, I emailed support as well regarding this.
6- Within 24 hours I got a mail stating its activated.
7- For some reason, I couldn't check whether it really got activated, because I was in the middle of some work.
8- And today, I really have some work with ScrapeBox, and was delighted thinking that - I can start using Scrapebox right away (because I've already gotten email stating its activated.). But today when I started the app, again the same msg I can see there - "no valid licence found".


Alright ...so this is what happened?
Now, do you still think that, I'm trying to transfer the licence or something?
I just want to use the software for which I paid for - simple as that.
And I'm aware that it can only be run in one computer/instance or whatever - I'm okay with that as well - I'll running it in just one computer.

Try unchecking the use proxies box. Then clear out the box next to the M. Choose custom footprint. Then put just this word in the keyword box.

Scrapebox attaches to the physical machine and OS that you install it on. So if you installed on say, your desktop or laptop pc, some months back and then today wanted to use it on a VPS its not going to work.

It doesn't activate in a general sense, it just activates for that pc. So if you want to use it on the VPS then you would need to do what is called a transfer. Which means load it on your VPS and click activate and put in your info again. Then within 12 hours or less you should be working. Assuming you haven't already transferred it this month.

How many times should I repeat the same thing, "I couldn't even see how it functions !!!"
I have clearly mentioned about it in my previous 2-3 replies which you can see above.


I'll do it one more time.


1- I purchased it. (on Aug 13 (I just checked by Email)
2- It stayed in my email for months.
3- Like three weeks back, I thought its time to download and check how its working. So, downloaded it to my VPS.
4- Clicked on activate button and provided the required info. Got a message stating in around 12 hours it'll be activated.
5- Yup, I did get an email stating its activated. (within 24 hours time)
6- But I didn't check if it really got activated (my bad, I should have checked it ) ...because I was busy with other work.
7- Today, I would be needing to use Scrapebox for my work.
8- But found that it's still not activated.


Alright, from what I've mentioned above, do you think that I'm transferring it to some other pc or something????
I'm just trying to use the software for which I paid for !!!!

Calm down, download the software to the machine you want to use it on. Hit the activate button and plug in your details. If that doesn't work, email customer support. If that doesn't work leave a bolded msg for sweetfunny here

Contact the customer support for the software you bought rather than going psycho on a public forum

That's were I'm standing !!!
1- The software has already been downloaded to my VPS. (3 weeks back, I told you this in my previous post as well - )
2- Then I clicked on activate button and provided details.
3- Got email from support that it got activated.
4- Today checked and found that it's not activated.


SO,

I did the same thing again :
1- Today, again I clicked on the activate button
2- And provided the required info (got msg stating that it'll be activated soon)


Now do you think it really will get activated today?
This is exactly what I did 3 weeks back as well ( again, I'm talking about the same VPS - no H/W change )
And later I got email stating the it got activated.
But it really didn't get activated.


Now, how can you tell me that this time it'll work.???


I thought you're the one who has the authority to do something from your end regarding activation ...so you're telling me to contact someone else hah???

Firstly yes, you did seem to imply that you were transferring it, both myself and spankythepro thought so.

2nd it isn't confusing for us, we are using scrapebox, you are the one who can't seem to get your license activated so clearly it is confusing for you. You are giving info that seem to conflict. I know you don't mean to but you did.

3rd, the only person here for works for scrapebox is sweetfunny, neither spankythepro nor I work for scrapebox. We are just trying to help, so don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Next, what likely happened is that you have a vps with a company who images their vps, as many companies do. During the scrapebox licensing scrapebox generates your license key, if you are imaged onto the same OS as someone else then you can wind up with the same license ID as someone else and when you submit and then don't runs scrapebox and they run it first it can kick you out. Its complex, but then its there to prevent fraud.

Point being is you just need to resubmit and then contact support. Sweetfunny is very busy developing and updating the app, and we are very grateful for this. However they don't have time to run around all day checking the forum every 5 minutes. So email support so one of their team members can handle it.

A host of things "could" be wrong. but lets work thru it.

Try the same harvest with the proxies does it work?

Go to options >> use new proxy harvester. Make sure that is unchecked. do a test on your proxies. What errors does it give? 404 (10061), something else etc...?

YPP is a very reputable provider. In the year and a half that I have used them I have only 1 time had an issue, its unlikely its them, but if it is they will fix it.
