How many visits to make a decent income?

How many visits does it take to make a decent income from a website/blog? Say I want to make $500 a month. How many visitors per day, or per month, does it take to reach that amount of money?

You wouldn't make it on one blog unless you were crazy lucky. For traffic, work on a sales figure of 0.1 to start with. Make your blog, add in your monetisation, and once you start earning work out how many times you need to multiply with more blogs to make $500 a day.

It's not unrealistic it just takes work and a little knowledge which you will find on here.

I can say, how it is with my website.

I have 300-400 unique visitors with ~1500 pageviews per day.
I receive 30-60 klicks per day and make 0.4-0.6 USD per day.

It's a free p**n tube site.

it depends on the keywords, the more targeted keywords you rank for the higher is the CTR, there is no exact science that will tell you how many visits for how much money, but if you think with adsense you can do a rough calc, considering a 30%CTR of a bunch of long tail keywords multiplied for the PPC cost of the keywords.

0.6USD for 60clicks? what are you using? are you sure? what is ppc? 0,01?...

Currently my tech blog gets around 400 uniques a day and makes about $5-10/day through email submits.

So in theory if I were getting 4000 uniques a day i'd be making $50-$100/day!

Depends on the site and how you monetize it.. Lots of people on here seem to talk about their blogs/sites getting 300-500 visits a day and they make maybe $1-$5/day because they use adsense. On the other hand, I have sites that get maybe 30-50 visits a day and make 500+ a month.

I agree with oldfatguy, it really depends on how you are monetizing the site. I personally wouldn't count on adsense for a few hundred a day on 1 site. Find some good relevant offers related to your niche and see what works best.

I suggest you not use adsense and instead sell something niche that is expensive. For instance a particular model of a camera or a specialized tool that say northern tool sells. I believe you will make more money off fewer uniques this way.
