I think mtime outsourced the submission of articles. Try finding his posts in this thread and maybe ask him how he did it.

Even if you are not in the US, you can still get Upfront payment. Just select USA when you register to AC.

That's true to an extent, however the value of a dollar is very different from someone in the US to someone in some other country...someone commented that they could buy a gallon of coke and some food for a dollar or something...

Shiet, you can't even buy public school lunch for a dollar where I live...You can't even catch the bus...and for a dollar, you could buy a 12oz can of coke...or a 'fun size' bag of fritos...or 2 boiled eggs at the liquor store by my house...

If this has already been posted, then sorry for the re-post. There are a lot of you that think AC manually reviews the articles. I don't think it's possible to read that many articles by hand even with a big crew.

They have a 'system' they use to evaluate how articles are paid. Hopefully this link will help you understand how it works.

If it is automated then why do they take so long to publish articles, and why is it seemingly random.

Also, of course some human(s) reads it. I've tested by submitting articles about things which don't make sense. The article made perfect grammatical sense. However, it was about things which just couldn't be true. And the article was rejected.
Only a human could figure this out. I am sure that a human reads the articles.

I think they manually review articles but they also use software to determine the SEO value of the article. AC is not stupid they make far more than they pay us through advertisements and not to mention the SEO value of unique articles.

I think it's mainly on adsense or ads.

Yeah man, just take a look at all the articles that are published, or on the front page of AC and study the ads...if you notice any reoccurring keywords or phrases showing up on the article page or publishers who have a lot of their articles 'favorited'...then you can gather some intelligence work...

For example, my gf noticed that there was an article that was typically one of the most read articles category about that show 'Jon and Kate plus 8' so I told her to take a look at the ads all around the article...if there are any trends around the 'tags' or genre of articles...test it...

I mentioned it before, but she's been getting average $4.00+ every single article so far just by noticing what's 'hot' and what's 'not'...Promote the articles with automated tools and we are already seeing some of her articles getting increased views...could be a fluke, but we'll watch to see if the trend continues and if so, capitalize...

i have just signed up at associated content, it seems that they did not mention that they will pay roughly $5-7 per article, but rather a payment per thousand page view

is it normal for all aticles to have 4000 page views, otherwise, it would not give a $5 return.
