Just because you've had some success, it doesn't give you the right to bash on others. From what you wrote, it looks like you want people to buy your CLP just because you gave them this method. It's not that I object to people using free solutions to implement this method, but, dude, where do you get off asking for coaching as if you just stepped on to the Internet yesterday, and immediately following that request by stating you'll do so almost as if you expect ME to also teach you how to implement the freebie.

Let me tell you, you haven't got a hope in Hell of setting up the free locker, ever. You have no hope of even understanding, correctly, what locking is, and, if you try and use this method with CPA accounts, you will be banned before you can even say "I don't understand"!!!

Mate, I made it quite clear, both in the OP and in my reply to you, that I have no issues with people using free content lockers.
I've also made it quite clear, throughout this whole thread, AND in replies to hundreds of PMs, that I'm perfectly willing to help.

Yet, I made a simple request, a few times, for people not to PM me asking for the basics, or asking me to set this up for you - I want to encourage people to think for themselves.

My reaction to your PM, initially, was to just ignore it, although I have to admit I was rather stunned at your membership level, since I'd expect that sort of PM from a newbie.
However, you then chose to follow up with a post and that was when I felt compelled to post what I did.

I think it's your personality which is quite flawed, and it was made evident by the fact that you saw fit to send me a request asking for further details on incredibly basic things, and to follow that request with a statement regarding the fact that you would use the free locker (completely unnecessary to mention that, don't you think?).

Did it not occur to you that perhaps you might have kept your choice of locker to yourself? Have you re-read your PM to try and understand how the person receiving it might feel about it?
Because, seriously, if it ever crossed your mind that members here would reply to PMs like that, you are sadly mistaken.

Nevertheless, this isn't the place for this, let's let the hundreds of people participating in this thread read your PM, read my reply, and form their own opinions.
Plenty of those people HAVE received replies from me, helpful replies, with nothing expected in return (much less a purchase of CLP), and know exactly where I stand, in spite of the occasional (imo, well-deserved) rant.

Just so we're clear - if you need help, posting on this thread is preferred to PMs.
Requests for help, sensibly constructed, and which demonstrate you have at least done SOME thinking for yourself, regardless of whether in the form of posts or PMs, are NOT conditional on you buying anything from me, nor on you spending any money.

I want you to THINK, to come up with IDEAS, and to take ACTION, I do NOT want you to spend your money.
That was the spirit within which this method was shared, as were my other shares.

I never "hoped" for anyone's failure, I just stated a fact. The free locker on BHW requires some considerable proficiency to set up, and if someone doesn't yet know what webspace is, or where they should upload files to, the chances of them being able to set up that locker, or do pretty much anything semi-complex related to marketing are slim to nothing.

Having said that, a willingness to learn, through your OWN inquisitiveness, research and work, and NOT through just sending PMs asking for spoonfeeding, WILL work for everyone, including you.

Very tempting to make a content locked video (though I won't, it's too good a post!). What I never understand is why people prefer to learn things from videos anyway. Anything I studied, I find I learn and understand more effectively after reading a text rather than having someone to show me.

Anyway, with the bloke that was sharing the link on twitter and fb - were these targeted followers/likes/friends? I'm hoping to finish implementing this tomorrow - I just need to read learn more about the content locking scripts available (for those who can't slice, and won't learn, pish off! it took 15 minutes to learn how do it with a google search).

You don't need this method if you have so many downloads.
You just need to point them directly to the offer(email submit) or make landing page with php redirect to the offer.
The main part is, you tell them that the password is some word on the second page, after they submit the email. You will get so much cash from 100k downloads, a lot of cash.
Now, you just need to share your traffic method with me

I know I dont need that method, but I was getting traffic to my (real) mediafire link via search engines. I simply couldn't do the same method for my fake links. Which is why i zipped in the pass.txt with my fake link. I have given up on this particular method, its not as easy as it was a few months ago, or else i was just lucky back then.

I am working on some other traffic driving methods currently. Mostly youtube.. Will post back results when I have some (don't hold your breath!).

All of that is just my thoughts, maybe QuietZorg will expand

I want to do your method where they do an offer to unlock a file, but all the offers say no incent which means I can't do the download option.

I've been following this thread for a few days, haven't implemented because I'm still searching for a few things, my main concern is faking the referrer to keep the CPA networks off my back.

Other than that it's the traffic, but that's everyone's problem really, so you can't really complain about that.

Something that I noticed but it wasn't mentioned here is: image resolution. I have 1920x1200 but most people have a much lower display resolution. Will that have an effect on the size of the image ? I would guess that the page adapts to the screen resolution so it would make sense that it looks different on my screen compared to a 1280x

Is that something that really doesn't matter that much since the "spoof" isn't that important, I wouldn't think that it matters much but you've also discussed loading times so I guess the idea is that the fake page comes off as realistic as possible.

Yep, that is the best script currently available, imo, even though I'm biased cos I coded it, lol

It's free, and will only take you a cpl of minutes to upload and be able to start using.

When pasting code into the sites you'll use as your referers, be sure to collect the updated code a few posts after the OP, as the initial code appended some junk to urls which didn't have parameters, but I was unable to edit the OP.

As to questions about the image resolution, etc, ANYTHING you can do to make your fake pages look better or appear more realistic will boost your income

I'm quite interested in this.

I had a shotty idea, since I don't have much experience in this. But, instead of just throwing up fake MF/RS pages, why not start building an authority sites that finds/uploads things on MF/RS and shares them with people?

Think of it this way, if you build up a somewhat respectable site even just with WP (I know a shoddy WP site is about the extent of my current abilities ) and say make each download link that you're sharing a post in itself, couldn't you still lock each link the same way, just using the download image instead of faking the entire page?

The bigger thought that I had though, in thoughts of creating a site that people will go back to time and again, is what if you had a locker that didn't force you to fill an offer at first, but rather one that made you like the site's page on facebook/follow it on twitter? Assuming the downloads are quality and take off, they'll be liking the pages/downloads which is essentially sharing with friends and therefore has a nice chance of going a bit viral?

(Johnson, if you could PM me if you want and let me know if CLP is capable of locking like this, with facebook likes or something of the sort, instead of only with offers I'd appreciate it.)

The point being, instead of being a fly-by-night download service and hoping people ignore the fake-ness of the MF clone, people expect to be redirected to another filehost, and only expect you to provide them with the link. I think people would respect not being sent to what looks like the same page twice, and being sent to another, ya know? Build up respectability and returning users and then implement offers and other ways to monetize? (I just watched the Social Network, about how he refused to monetize FB at first, and it seems to really make sense, and I imagine it would be effective still.)

So...the dealio that I've wasted my whole day thinking about and which is about the only thing that is somewhat hard (except driving traffic of course) is: files.

The whole day I was thinking about exactly what kind of files should I use for this, of course they have to be in demand, the first thing that came to mind: Movies, programs all sorts of illegal stuff and that was with something else what halted me. I was afraid of getting kicked out of my CPA networks if they found out. Then faking came to mind, still don't know exactly how it's supposed to be done, but working on that part, will research it.

So if you prefer to skip what I just wrote, can you give a...hint on what kind of content to look after.
Is pirated OK as long as you're a good referrer faker or is it a taboo ?

I also considered other stuff like download.cnet.c*m/windows/most-popular/3101-20_4-0.html

But I soon figured that it would be a nightmare driving traffic to these things since they can be much easier found the official source.

The other thing that I've thought about is the site, I have a dozen sites but none of them are really suitable for this project, would you recommend just getting a new domain that's related to file sharing ?

You mentioned that we could host this on Wordpress.com, but you can't edit all of the HTML there, just the posts/pages so when someone goes to the link they will see the theme around the image, which I guess defeats the purpose of this whole endeavour.

I really hope that you don't take offense at this post, it is really great that you've posted this method and this might be over the line but it would be great if you could help.

Mate, I don't take offense at people who are obviously reading the post, struggling with something, and ask for help. In fact, it's the point of sharing in a thread like this, to be able to answer questions and share ideas.

So, questions are welcomed, please don't think that because I object to a user asking for everything to be done for them, from scratch, with absolutely no effort input whatsoever from them, means that I'm loathe to help people, because that's definitely not the case

Content - you have to make it desirable for whoever you expect your traffic to be.

So, if you're going for die-hard gamers, think of things like game cheats.

If you're going for adult traffic, think adult pictures or movies (not such a great idea, adult traffic is notoriously hard to monetise, as they can get more content than they could ever have time for, easily, for free).

If targeting people seeking to make money online, check out which downloads are popular here, or on other IM forums.

Hard to get and very desirable is the recipe, but hard to get is way less important than very desirable

You ask about pirated or copyrighted content, well this is Blackhat World, so it's certainly not taboo.
Otoh, it's not something any CPA Network is going to openly approve of, so you need to ensure you don't get caught. It can also get you into trouble with your host, your domain registrar, and/or the authorities in your country so be sure to set yourself up to a point where these things won't be a problem.

The reality is that the most sought-after content online does happen to be illegal, copyrighted, cracked or pirated content, but it doesn't mean that they are the only options.

Try everything and anything you can think of and, like the previous poster said, consider also building a site, and traffic, via social sharing and other means, prior to locking and cashing in.
