Adsense seems like an unviable monetization method for the average SEO'er

How on earth are you getting good content cheap enough to burn through 100 in ten days? Most of the decent content I can find is $5 an article. (on the cheap side if it is any good)

$500 for a ten day launch of a website? I have no doubt you are pulling it off, but I don't see the ROI.

Good input Stiflersmom, I have similar experiences. With your affiliate marketing, was it 30-80 per DAY? Down to $1 with adsense? If so, ouch!!

Dont worry The $1/day is for entirely new domains I created in April/May. $30-$80 was meant as I said ... it is more or less the average for 200 visitors regardless of the site getting 50 uniques/daily or 500.
Sometimes you have 5 days with nothing, the 6th day you might be pulling in 2 sales

It's just so heavily fluctuating that I thought it'd be a good thing to get a steady adsense stream going

My adsense got banned. The same goes with other few other adsense accounts after that. I was only using those on micro niche sites without any BH tactics. Not really going to open another account again.

You pay $5 for an article once.. and that article can keep making you $5 everyday, every month and every year... talk about ROI

BassTracker I think you should write an ebook on this or something. I would gladly buy it. You know, how to make more "white hat", larger adsense sites in an economical manner. Or maybe the method would get saturated so perhaps keep it to yourself. But it's much, much harder for people to go and make a truly good site with hundreds if not thousands of pages of useful content, than it is to make a crappy xfactor site.

If I were to write an ebook about my processes, I would give it away because there is no way to saturate the the method.

There are literally zillions upon zillions of different niches you could use to build authority sites plus I would much rather see more decent sites out there instead of the 5 page MFA sites you see all the time.

I have been able to research some solid keywords pretty easy and I can do the wp sites and site graphics.

However I am lost on the traffic and I have the patience for maybe 4-5 original articles.

But I would love to increase my adsense earnings.

Sell information on the Internet; it's not confined to a geolocation like some physical products (e.g amazon will not ship some products to Australia). Usually returns a good amount per sale (I do some forex sales which result in $95 per sale, hard niche but the results are the and I have $500+ days from that site alone).

Someone once said that adsense is like stepping over pounds to pick up pennies and that is so true.

Hint: use the cbinsider from cbengine.com to find trending items to sell.

I actually see adsense as grabbing the low hanging fruit... I do fairly well with CJ as well but have yet to turn CB into something that rocks my world.

Thanks for that CBengine.com site; hopefully even a knucklehead like me will learn something there.

No problem, also from what I have found a CB product when trending has a lifespan of around six weeks e.g. You may do really well for six weeks until everyone jumps on the bandwagon and it becomes a $hitfight. When that happens simpy redirect your link to another trending product in the same niche that has not been abused / is upcoming.

The key is to write articles for your website that are generic enough to be able to be swapped between products in the same niche (e.g. Forex software article can be applied to many different Forex Software apps for sale).

Also, if possible collect a users email with a bribe or whatever to build up your mailing list. You then Joe Bloggs is interested in Forex Products so you can contact him later with a *special offer* on a Forex Product.

You are very motivational. I hope one day i can get close to what you have accomplished. However I am still having difficulty on finding EMD's for keywords that would be profitable via adsense. I still try to think outside the box but after going through so many TT and MS checks to see the competition I either get blown out of the water by their being too much competition or not being able to grab an EMD, .com/.org/.net

I average $50-$60 but I'm moving 1.6K a day in traffic to get it.
