I put no less than 20 or so KWs in the adwords KW tool to get a lot of additional KWS and I only have one article per KW when I build a site generally.

I am trying something with a site that I own about real estate.

I have about 1900 pages of content on that site and am having more articles written using the same KWs by a different writer and am hoping that I'll have those articles on page 1 with the original article that is already sitting there.

I figure a different writer will give a different perspective and that should work as well as the original one.

This has been my exact experience. I added Adsense to 4 sites that were never intended for Adsense (i.e., content was geared toward list-building, local keywords or affiliate review sites). At first the earnings were OK. Then I read some adsense courses (xfactor v2, fatcat blueprint, A100K, etc) and decided to beef up the content and ad more of it. The sites only have 10 to 25 pages of content but it is all unique and I think this is the most important part, all most all the pages are 750+ words and I used WCS to theme them.

This brought in more traffic from long-tail terms and helped my rankings. I also saw an increase in CTR and the price per click. Google rewards good content with higher payouts. Read about smart pricing - some bad sites under an adsense account can bring down your pricing other sites.

I also improved my silo structure (I use WP so I redirect I redirect category pages to a category landing page with some text (at least 300 words) and then use a catlist plugin to list all the posts in that category).

I have only been using Adsense for about 4 months but I get about $500 from adsense (it has been going up every month - presumably because of the factors I mention above that Google likes) per month and another $500 from CPA and affiliate offers on those 4 sites.

I am now focusing on building larger sites like BassTracker is doing (and larger posts) as I am convinced it is the best method. Adense relies on Google so with all things Google be patient and let things settle.

Adsense is not junk, it is actually a valuable option but should not be your only one.

You need to mix it up with other things like Clickbank, Commission Junction, CPA offers etc.

I usually like commission products like clickbank etc. so I will build a site around that niche. If for some reason it doesn't convert well after a while, I'll just stick some Adsense ads on the site and move on.

Some sites niches are better for Adsense while others are better for other types of offers like clickbank etc.

BTB how do you come up with initial niche idea? You explained how you use wiki and adword tooll to find indepth keywords to produce the articles on but what about the initial process of finding the niche and creating a website around it? Any tips on that? Also I added you on skype (darshan1994) would be great if you could show me the example of your adsense site too (if thats ok with you) Thanks.

Sometimes it is life experience as with the latest site I am building as I was given an medical diagnosis and that got my head spinning a little on how to make that work to my advantage.

Other times, ideas just come to me if I am driving or working on my lawn... my mind just goes into that kind of mode every now and then for some reason.

I don't know that I could actually teach that or even explain the thought process that powers that part of the process.

But how the heck do you judge competition, then beat the competition, for so many keywords? Your SEO bill must be colossal.

adsense is good, i get 0.08-$2.00 a click

I use SEOQuake but really do not care about the competition... I've never worried about competition my whole life as a businessman because I would just outwork the other guy.

I spend very little on outside SEO services actually... the only one I use on a regular basis is Big Buddy's http://vilambara.com but other than that I don't do much aside from my internal things.

A lot of unique content is solid onsite SEO and you would be surprised how well that works with the search engines.

Wow, thank you for sharing all of that info with us. You really have a good handle on adsense. The way you go about it is much like xfactor 2.0.

I can't wait to make a real authority site, that google will actually like, rather than hate.

By the way, I have to ask. Do you at least use your own linkpushing service?

This guy = GOD.

That is true. You pop 100 unique articles with good SEO and you'll be ranking crazy no matter how good your competition is. Content is like traffic to your blog technically.

If you don't mind sharing, what kind of backlinking do you do for those sites? Specifically, do you build links to the inner long tail pages as well or just to select ones?

I think it is easier to monetize a click than get someone to pull out their credit card and buy a digital product. Of course, you get paid in much smaller increments. So, it's a trade off.

Everything takes work though. You said you like the "hands off" aspect of adsense, which sounds like you like the "no work" aspect, which doesn't exist.

I find adsense to be a slow method. If you spend 2 hours on a site and it nets you $5/month for the next 10 months before tanking and becoming worthless, then you basically made $25 per hour of work. Really that's not the best IMO.

Try ranking with images you can do this with free blogs I reckon. One of my site suddently started recieving a really big amount of visitors all day that I did not target. They where all coming from google image results. I then started upgrading my whole site towards the "Picture" macro-niche and its paying of pretty nice. Great Discussion. its Title could be Adsense vs Clickbank . Really Enjoyed and got some motivations to setup High KW adsense sites.

Well Adsense goes hard for me as my domains not having kewords i think thats the problem i cant get Traffic and adsense Earnings. Well I am equipped with tools now and will come with another way this time to earn something like 10-20$/day from adsense.

I learnt a lot of new stuff from this thread.Can you guys give any tips on predicting cpc on google ads displayed on your blogs.Sometime back i read a wso it said go to google adwords-->contextual ads and it will show you how much you have to pay for a keyword to be on the display network and u get 68% of what people are paying for those keywords.


do u guys use any other method to predict cpc?

BassTracker I think you should write an ebook on this or something. I would gladly buy it. You know, how to make more "white hat", larger adsense sites in an economical manner. Or maybe the method would get saturated so perhaps keep it to yourself. But it's much, much harder for people to go and make a truly good site with hundreds if not thousands of pages of useful content, than it is to make a crappy xfactor site.

If you read my other posts I think you'll see that was rather a misjudgment (if you are to take me at my word which you don't have to).
