Are CPA companies always this dysfunctional?

All I need right now is just a working tracking link. That's it. A certain offer is down for me and every other affiliate in the network. Everyone loses because of sh1t like this.

Well I would if I didn't buy a domain specifically for this offer and spend two whole weeks getting keywords, articles, videos, and accounts together. That's two weeks of work flushed down the goddamn drain, just because they can't fix a fvcking affiliate redirect. There is absolutely nothing I can do about this.

* I've contacted my affiliate manager. He's giving me useless bullsh1t like "is the traffic US only?" Um, that has nothing, NOTHING to do with the current situation. The offer is for ALL countries anyway.

* I've contacted the merchant itself via email. Nothing.

* I've contacted the people behind the affiliate redirect by phone and by email. Nothing. Oddly enough, they're never on AIM and their Twitter account disappears forever as soon as I sign into Twitter.

WHAT... THE... FVCK... is going on here? I consider myself a reasonably patient person, but does it really take a whole week just to get a response that's helpful and competent? Maybe this is why so many people blackhat the fvck out of CPA networks....

You really have no understanding of what is actually going on on the other end. Networks have a affiliate manager to affiliate ratios that are humoungous. They can't appease everyone and are obviously going to focus their attention on the people driving the most traffic. Most networks are brokering offers from somewhere. They don't know why the offer is redirecting and the advertiser quite possibly has no idea what network you're talking about.

What offer is it and what network? I can probably get the offer you're looking for and tell you whats really going on...

Try searching offervault to find the offer on another network.

On a side-note, don't put all your eggs in one basket by building a site around 1 offer. I got hardcore anally burned on this once. You don't want to hear the story, it would make you cry lol. Suffice to say, I invested way more than a domain name and 2 weeks.

-at Sacrilege, I searched on offervault. The offer seems to be on just CPAjuice and Dandingo. Also, more than 2 weeks of effort wasted would definitely make me cry like an angry, angry little child.

Yeah dude you gotta calm down each aff manager is probably assigned to at least hundreds if not thousands of other affiliates and sh.

My advice is not to do seo for offers that arent going to last a while. I do seo for your own products or services otherwise use paid traffic.

You also dont have to wait weeks to get traffic or see if its working or not.

Been doing cpa marketing for 4 or so years. I only know very few advertisers that have lasted that long and I will tell you usually its lead gen such and edu, auto insurance etx

Lesson learned, chalk it up to experience.

I would mirror other people's opinions that you shouldn't build sites for one offer. The only time you should really focus on an individual offer is when you're doing a short term campaign eg. bought traffic or a mailing campaign.

Otherwise, you should build sites in "evergreen" niches where there are a multitude of offers and advertisers. That way, if an offer / advertiser goes tits up (as they inevitably will), you will always have someone else decent to promote.

The CPA industry is chaotic and dysfunctional at the best of times.

Thats just the default setting the network puts in. Nothings ever set in stone with these kind of advertisers... The nature of the industry is short term advertisers. They make some quick money then their cc processor shuts them down because of all the complaints from their "free trial" rebill. You gotta just roll with the punches...

Oh you have no idea. I had a site with a huge database that required data entry. I actually hired my sister in law who needed a job to do data entry for me. We both worked on it for months. I paid her about 1200 total. This affiliate program was on linkshare and my site had already been reviewed and approved by the merchant. Then 5 days after launch they changed their mind and called to drop me and told me they would be sending me a check for 400 for the sales I made in the whole 5 days that my site was running. I straight up yelled "ID RATHER YOU TAKE THAT CHECK AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR ASS"

I guess he did because the check never came. lol

i feel yo pain homie but this industry is "dynamic" = fucking unstable. shit happens like this all the time. bottomline number #1 reason offers get "paused" or "expired" is advertiser wasn't happy. if he's not happy there's no fucking money for anyone.

Emailed 6 times in 3 weeks, no response. You can't get them online IM ever. Called twice, including today, and left yet another message. Absolutely no communication at all.

I guessing I'm out the $1100.

My thinking now is they are a complete scam. They get IM'rs to sign up and drive traffic, then just take the money. Fuck shaving it, they just take it all.

I'm planning on posting once a day... here and elsewhere... for the next couple months, my experience, so no other serious and hard-working IM'ers get screwed over by these yahoos!

I don't believe you should base other companies by the poor performance of one, but yes it's quite possible for some CPAs to be dysfunctional although those are the ones that go out of work the soonest.

Update: after blowing up their phone, fax, email, and IM, I finally got paypal'd ... most of what I'm owed.
