Comment links or backlinks, where to invest?

I have some money to spare towards building backlinks. I have seen some nice offers here at BHW and wanted to know which of the above two are better?

I haven't strictly followed a backlink strategy. As per alexa my site has 16 indexed backlinks.. various online tools give a different picture though. But the question is which of the above two methods will be more beneficial.

comment links are backlinks...

asking what kind of backlinks are best is tricky since there are too many factors. it is too broad of a question. if you have money to invest i recommend buying scrapebox and figuring it out. you can do a ton with it. you'll learn way more with scrapebox than buying a service here.

Make your backlinking strategy as broad as possible... all kinds of backlinks (do and no follow) from all different places with variations of page rank from NA - 9... links from EDU sites, article directories, Doc Share Sites, Web 2.0 properties... anywhere and everywhere is what you want for backlinks.

The best to have are not important, the randomness of the ones you have is most certainly important for long term rankings.

Keep in random and chaotic.

Thanks!! I'm assuming most of these service providers use scrapebox then... Hmm, at $97, I suppose I better get reading the manuals first.

Btw.. is this considered a good practice in backlinking.. I link a particular article (I use wordpress) with a few anchor keywords for the backlinks.. so this should give that particular article a push.. right?
