i think thats for a simple reason bro
how many people have clicked an icon
on there desktop and hit X on s/box by mistake
thats probably why it was added

personaly im glad its there, theres been times in the
past ide have a couple of web pages up without minimizing
s/box - ide hit x to close a page and hit s/box by mistake,
so that ment a list of proxies ide just spent testing for my
scrapebox proxie buyers just went to the wall

i'm quite sure he pointed the grammatical error..

your dup remove software is too slow. i have 33 million url file now and it is now been several hours since your software is trying to remove duplicate urls. i also coded c# application which of course uses lots of ram :D did the job in several minutes.

Why don't you release that thing you coded as a "share" :D

I tried the link on the first post, See i have money on my paypal... But when i tried to buy it's asking for a credit card :( I can send the money to any paypal id but the link in the first post is like a shopping cart feature i guess, so let me know the developers paypal id so that i can send the money and get the product :)
Thank you

I pmd u.

I have such an app and I released it free, in fact its in my signature and has been for a long time and I post in this thread a lot. :)

There is actually a couple tools there, all free, and they do lots of things.

Maybe your PC is just to slow. :) The goal of the dupe remove tools if efficiency. They will work with up to 180 million urls at once, which your C# likely will not. Further more making something that will run on the widest range of pcs, lots of people out there are running sbox on machines with 1GB of ram or less. The bottom line is that it works and it works well, and it works with the widest compatibility.

In your case making your own is quicker, thats great, go for it, share it too if you like that way others can benefit.

Google something like: "free email list software" or something. Basically you can find tools like that, but they are for emails, but work for urls too. That's what I use sometimes to do the odd task.

Thanks for that loopline but I was just actually teasing the poster into releasing it, not because I need it but because I find the I did that, I did this response without the community benefiting from it kinda deadening. :D Besides having tools that does the same thing isn't really a bad thing.. you don't know when one of them will fail and the other will save your day :)

Thanks for the heads up :) I think any tool that treats a file on a per line basis should do the trick.

Does anyone know if its better to put the anchor text in the actual comment or put your anchor text where the name should be? I have been putting it where the name should be and pinging and using AA lists but not really any results to speak of.

I am interested in buying but havn't got the time to read the whole thread. I have a few questions:

- I use a mobile internet dongle via a cellphone provider (UK) - speed = HSDPA, I assume this is fast enough?
- Proxies, I see that private proxies may be needed, are they expensive and will they work with a mobile connection?

I have a problem with Scrapebox running on my Windows 2008 VPS. 1GB RAM.

The crashdump logger crashes almost every time I run through a large list, without fail. If I click OK on the crash box, Scrapebox will continue to harvest, although without logging progress obviously.

Not really sure what the problem is?

Good deal mate. :) I am very much a support he community person and you are quite right. It does not good to complain to the developer, then say, look at me, I can do it better, why didn't you, then not give it to anyone. Its always refreshing to see people like you who have a community interest at heart, and not just their own.

"Ideally" you would put it in the names spot. If its Auto Approve then you can put it in the comment usually without a problem. However if your trying to get a comment approved, its much harder with a link in the comment. Also some sites are set to auto reject a comment if there is a link in it.

Elsewise there isn't an ideal, its kind of what you can get away with. Also some sites don't allow html in the comment, so if your trying to add an anchor then you wind up with a bunch of html in the comment, which obviously isn't getting approved etc...

So experiment and see which gets you more results with your particular variables.

Well with HSDPA in the States it caps at a possible few Mbps. So depending all that, a few Mbps should be good on the speed. The latency of the wireless connection will cause you to need higher timeouts then a wired connection. Also I wouldn't expect to run most things at more then 5-10 connections, maybe as much as 20-30 depending on your speeds.

I have a similar dongle I use here in the US, and depending on where I am and which HSDPA or HSPA or HSPA+ network I am connected to I get anywhere from 1.5 - 4Mbps or so. So its subjective, it will run it, but best thing is to test it on low connections high timeouts and turn the connections up and timeouts down until success tapers off and you will know where you stand.

Also that kind of connection is more volatile, so you will have to compensate for that as the speed fluxes, and your physical distance from towers and blah blah blah...

As for proxies I only use Your Private Proxy:

http://www.scrapebox.com/proxies.php

10 proxies would be plenty for that connection, and that runs about $29.97 USD.

Well the crash dump logger is only for posting. All harvesting is auto logged in the harvester session folder that is in your main scrapebox folder.

As for the crash dump logger, restart your VPS. Every time I have had similar issues a restart always fixes it.

Hey!
I want to buy this software but I want to know if it can be installed multiple times on the same PC?

Hope it works well for me. <.> Just bought it.

It should, especially if you have an autoapprove list.

Hey!

Well as far as I know, Scrapebox uses HWID as a verification system. If you don't know what that means, it basically runs off a white list with your computer id. So your software, regardless of what instance, will ask the whitelist with your hardware id if you can have access. So basically, ScrapeBox comes in a folder, it is not installation based, so you can copy the folder as many times as needed. However, addons will mess up running more than one instance. For example, if you want to transfer URLs from an addon off instance 2 to instance 2, you will see it copies over to instance 1. All in all, there are some problems with going to cheap route and duplicating the folders. Sweetfunny does know about most of them, but in most cases, it would take a complete remodel of the program.

Hope I helped, let me know if you have any questions.

Tx for comprehensive answers, I will most probably purchase by the end of the week.
