You do a quick search on the domain name above and Nick... comes up as the owner. You do a search for his name + uk and you come up with a site called justgiving.com

Just Giving has had the charity where funds are being routed registered with them for 7 years now (not a short-con). While I would probaly not donate through the link given above I have thrown some money at the charity via this page: http://www.justgiving.com/Millie-Ormsby/

"That site is pretty suspicious": The site was setup by Millie's father Nick Ormsby. how on earth you can say it looks suspicious I don't know. He created the site, he is struggling with the site, and has asked me for help. I said I would help him with the SEO....... I thought, why not go to BHW and start the ball rolling. Bad move there.

I will publically say now, if a UK MEMBER wants to contact me, I will provide my personal details, my business details, my address and my phone number, and that member can perform whatever checks he wishes to verify this story.

I have alreadys posted several links to newspapers in Millie's local area which have run articles about her story.

You can see that the overall reaction is negative. Probably the site is ok, let's say, but they should have at least some videos with her..I know Ataxia looks terrible. Or probably, BHW is not really the place to make such threads. I said before, if it was for you, then maybe you would've had a chance. And replying with rage to rage comments, will only lead to rage..and even ban no mater if you were right or not. So just let the thread sink, before others will start popping around, reading the first post and replying without reading the rest, about the Nigeria thing. Just saying..

I agree that this thread should probably just die. But as to your suggestion that comments were made out of "rage"...I think maybe you didnt read the whole thread. It all started with me asking for an explanation of the ops -2 reputation. Thats not rage, thats a common sense question. When someone with a -2 rep is asking you to give them cash I think they should be willing to explain. He clearly was not going top explain and gave a BS answer that "he didnt know how that happened". No rage, just common sense and a little street smarts. We all get bombarded with these stories every day from more reputable sources.

Like I said if you are legit you should be checking yourself for your poor people skills and management/marketing of the situation.

You have probably done more harm than good with this thread.

They say it's the thought that counts but I dunno in this case.

I guess if one guy has donated you've done better than nothing so far but still you could have got loads of people donating with a little more thought and foresight.

I was just thinking the same as what someone said above.

Rather than plain asking for money you could instead of stated the case with the legit links, appealed to BHW respected members 1st through PM so your voice carried more weight then asked for services through them/once your case was better established as legit.

I think you probably are legit just lil naive.

I guess I'm saying your ROI/conversion rate on this project is extremely low .

It could be legit, it could be a scam, it could possibly not be hamd01 himself but a hacked account.

Regardless, why asking for money? The UK is a social state and even if you don't have ANY money you still get the same medical procedures (provided they work and are needed) as anyone else. I am sure UKs health care is as good as any other system in a developed country.

Im being totally bombarded that the whole thing is a scam. Humanity somtimes depresses me! It is a forum with a lot of money attached to it, hence my asking for help there.

One suggest is that I speak with a senior moderator and get them to verify the story via yourself, Millie's school, the local newspaper.....just wondered if a moderator comes forward and is willing to contact you would that be ok?

Yes that is fine , this is what we have come across all the time.

One of the problems is and my answer to all the sceptics . How can something so awful not be in the public eye . I am trying to do something about that .

Any body can contact me , Millie's cardiologist, surgeons, neurologist, her school , Tamworth hearald where the story was printed. It is also in the papers this week. I have done a press page.

As with the first thread I do not know how to make this believeable.
The money goes direct to Ataxia UK not me.

You can find the contact details for the newspapers just by Googling.

In the newspaper articles are the names of her doctors and surgeons.....again you can feel free to google them and contact them.

This is not a scam guys....this is real life.
