I'll give some insight on Twtmob. I've been working with them for 2 years now and they have made me a little cash, but they are very inconsistent and sometimes unreliable. You will get a campaign and then not see another one for months, sometimes you have to bug them (email only because phone is not possible) to pay you after the 1st. They only pay once a month and you need $50 in your account to get the money out. I'm almost positive it's run by 1 or 2 people, that's it. I wouldn't waste your time on this because you'll spend days just trying to email "him" and they won't pay all these non-lucrative twitter accounts with no real pull.
He smarted up since the beginning as now he has guarded his WhoIs registration but when it started, you could see his full name and I found him on Facebook. It's a small operation and it's probably not going to be around for long.

You can't be an automated tweeter, you must actually have substance with your tweets. Also they will not allow anyone to join who has more than 50% following than your followers.
So if you have 10k followers, you can't be following more than 5k.
It's really not worth it unless you have 10k+ followers.

well if thats the case, that would suck, and i dont think that the number of following outweighs your quality followers and quality tweets. it may have a factor, but if they see you have great followers and stuff, then they should give you an opportunity, but if they dont, as i said, it would suck

I know for a fact that it won't accept you if you are following more than 50% of your following. Again, like I said, this is not an automated process, it's a human overlooking everything and it's a small operation. They will pay attention to see how actually has pull.

I'm trying to help you guys out so you don't waste your time, lol. If you are not a real human portrayed in your profile, they will not give you any campaigns, and as I said before, you would be lucky to get a campaign even once every few months. It's really not worth the time nor money to try and build up accounts for this purpose.
They are not new, they have started about 2 years ago, but still suck as far as consistency goes.

Ok, I tried you method last week and I earned already 8$ . In other words, it works
For me it didn't work, SPTWT are much better in my case, joined yesterday and earned 4 dollars for one tweet
i really find sponsored tweets more reliable, no complaints etc. im still waiting for my twitter acct to be 2 months old but by that time ill have plenty of followers, which is what i am working at right now. another suggestion is ad.ly, but their minimum is 25k followers. my suggestion is, even if we dont earn now, we should just keep on working on our follower base.
