I have recently acquired a large corporation as a client and they would like me to host their website as well. As a typical BHW'er, all my hosting is either hostgator, offshore or vps stuff.

I am looking for any suggestions for a high quality host, and price is not really an issue because they are paying a monthly fee.

If you'll work in total legality, go for www.softlayer.com. Professional SLA without doubt's. If you're running low on budget, you can start at amazon ec2 too, and then migrate to softlayer later.

I have a couple big corporate accounts (clients) and that's how I host them; one of the accounts also needs a dedicated mail server because of their email volume, so that had to be taken care of as well. For big clients don't even think to go the cheap route, because if something goes wrong, you'll be up the neck in trouble.

I like your suggest of wiredtree the best with the remote back up and everything. I think it will provide the client with good piece of mind. Money really isn't the issue, it's more my neck on the line as you say. Thank you

If the business is white hat I would go for mediatemple.net because it's proven to work well. There are clients like Sony, Warner Bros, Adobe, Toyota etc so I'm sure it will work fine for you too One of the most costly plans is 2500$/month so be prepared to pay..

You might want to even search in your local area for enterprise hosting options. Your client might like the perception that your host is local, yet the right solution for their business.
