by "can't write your own content", I meant too lazy.

So for the guy that can't afford a nice car he should just steel one because the guy that owns the nice car must be some rich jerko*f that probably has no morals either?

Yeah I mean - I am kinda with you on this one Flexnds... here is what we have all (well, I hope most) learned in High School English and even more so when writing research papers in college...

Cite your sources.

You can get your "content" on your site that was "derived" from a book - however, you just need to cite where it came from...

A simple "information from this post was derived from (book title, authors last name, year of publication) MLA/APA/Chicago citations - look them up if you want to really get technical.

I am thinking google will still regard your content as fresh and unique, and you just covered your ass legally. Crisis gone.

I am not sure, that's a good point though. Regardless if you get a book and for example let's say your niche is weight loss you can maybe look up natural ways to loose weight in the book then you can write the article based on the research and you can even say you found it in the book. I think people would still appreciate it because you brought the information to them so they can find it with much more ease versus having to read the book themselves and find the book.

And honestly - if you have material right in front of you, you should be able to glance at the original sentence and then totally speak a new sentence that means the same thing... so you aren't copying verbatim.

I mean - take the sentence: Spending the majority of your budget in the produce section will have a direct effect on you loosing the most weight.

okay - there is a main point, lets spin that on our own but have it mean the same thing...

new sentence: When I go to the grocery store I like to spend 75% of my budget in the produce section, 10% in the meat and dairy, and 15% in the isles with all the pre-packaged items - this ensures I will be loosing weight as the majority of my diet is fruits and vegetables.

So I just took one sentence saying to shop mostly in produce and expanded on it to make a solid 55 word sentence. Coming up with the original Idea might be tough, but when that is done for you saying the same thing in a different tone is just simplistic.

Good idea but I would be carefully with copy write laws. The information published and translated from online publications is like a free for all if you post it online you know that it is being read and chances are someone will use parts of it in their site or to make an article.

Thanks! I knew it probably wasn't new but I am sure too many people don't use it because people want fast and people want to do it as easily as possible and honestly this isn't that easy. Because we do have to first research and find the best and the right books to match our blog site and that takes time

Great idea!

Just thought I'd add to the never-ending 'stealing/copying' and 'copyright morals' debate that completely saturates the entire (not just here!) human race. Keep doing what you're doing. There is almost nothing out there that hasn't already been done/said/thought of - we all get ideas, inspiration, concepts, material from existing resources around us.

It applies to almost anything you can think of; design, music, dance, theory, science, business - it makes me laugh when I see people whining and debating about the 'morals' of copyright. We ALL gain knowledge and 'grow' by copying or finding inspiration and furthering our own experience and SKILL in all areas of life by 'copying' - essentially, from those who have already done it, and more so, done it BETTER than us. Inevitably, it applies to any environment, not just reading or writing. Fact.

And on that note... one more thing to mention. It's a dog eat dog world.

The theory of natural selection is something else that comes to mind.
