Hello Everyone,

I been looking at this forum for small while now and so I decided to join. First of all a lovely community, and secondly a great network of information! Much experience to be had!

And so, my first question is... drum-roll please... How would I get access to the php files of a site like this? thelikeboxxDOTcom I don't want to say copy but any information you may have regarding how I would get my hands on a site like this or get the code behind a site like this would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm currently a third year computer science student, with great interest in learning all and any new languages! I look forward to making a handy bot or two, perhaps a nice community website[ with some helpful features, more so aimed towards social networking and Youtube ] and just generally giving back to the community. :)

Thanks for reading guys, hope its not too much!!

*fluff*

help me rip off someones site

*fluff*

thats all i read

I'm just asking a question, not for your negativity.

Please go rain on someone else's parade buster.

Please go rain on someone else's parade buster.

That would be "Please go rain on someone else's parade, buster".

And you ARE asking how to rip someone's site.

Just an observation.

Thanks for the grammar lesson!

No not to rip, to learn. If it means having a look at their code that is ok. I will not remake a complete copy of their website.

Even looking at the code is cheating in my book.. you are copying someone else's ideas! :p

Thanks for the grammar lesson!

Third year computer science student... I figured you skipped some English classes back in the day.

Look, I'm no techie but I can see things clearly... want the code to that site?

Hit up the owners of that site.

Want to learn how to code a site like that?

Stay in school.

This website uses the forum software vBulletin. Look it up.

It's expensive, so use a nulled copy.

I honestly don't see a problem, I'm very curious what is going on behind the scenes in these mass like websites. I think I may abandon this route and just code one myself! Can't be that hard, right? I enjoy learning more code techniques and practices :)

Nah, a comma doesn't mean I skipped some English classes. Your just ignorant. Leave it at that I have no interest in continuing a conversation as such.

Thank you for that info, I didn't know the site used vBulletin. I though that software was just for forums. More of a myBB man myself! But as I said, it's a learning experience, thank you!

Never mind my comment before, I didn't realize you just wanted to learn. Still, if you are looking to learn there is no reason you need to hack into a website to do it. There are many guides on the internet!

Your dead right, I'm gonna code one myself over the next few days. Might learn a thing or two! Exams coming up, but they're not too bad :)

heh..

I'm not a moderator, but I don't think you should be posting comments like that. There is no need for it!

Here's how you do it:

  1. You go and find several big IT security forums. You won't be able to find any blackhat hacking sites because those can't be found with Google by noobs and are usually pretty closed.
  2. You join each forum, make a few posts.
  3. After you have some posts, you say "*fluff* how do i hack somebody's site *fluff*".
  4. They are usually smart folks, very likely smarter than you since you ask this question on BHW so they will just tell you to fuck off.
  5. You search on google "how to hack a site", "how to se source code of a site". All results are anything but information you need. The inforation you find is also usually several years old and if you manage to find some exploit, it won't work.
  6. You go and wash your face, come back on BHW and think what didn't worked.
  7. You realize BHW is a blackhat SEO / IM forum not a security forum. You realise security people don't like blackhat noobs (a.k.a. script kiddies). You feel some frustration.
  8. You forget about it because you are not willing to actually LEARN how to hack. It is very very difficult, especially if you don't want to get caught. Learning how to hack means learning C/C++, Assembler, system and network security, system administration, OS internals and a lot of other stuff. After you'd learn that you'd have to learn it again better, then learn it again by trying to break everything and see what breaks, when and why. A hacker is a multi-skilled specialist with about 300% proficiency in multiple areas. That is like having "God Mode" on, being agent Smith :)
This is with a 99.999% accuracy what you will do. You can jump straight to step (7) and save yourself time. But you won't. You will do each step listed by me above.

Your first sensation after reading what I wrote will be slight anger and you will slightly get pissed off. First thought will be to reply and remember us, no, reassure us, that you have no malicious intentions and are just curious how to do it (or whatever). Then you may also think to say "if you can't help me because you don't know, don't attack me". Or something like that. Yes, I can read your mind. You are in the Matrix, I am agent Octopusmith.

Nah, a comma doesn't mean I skipped some English classes. Your just ignorant.

That would be "You're just ignorant." Not only does your statement lack truth, it is also poor grammar.

Again, I suggest you stay in school.

Just some friendly advice.

Also, I am far from a technical guy but I knew that site was a vBulletin site after about 33 seconds.

Haha you Mr.Madoctupus are a different kind of crazy. Just wasted 10 minutes for nothing. You must have a really boring life.

Like I said I'm abandoning this route, I gonna learn how to make my own.

I'm not sure either FTank! I thought it was a nice community, oh well these dudes can continue being rude, I'm not that sensitive.

Oops *I'm* gonna learn, I'll give it to you mate, you would make a fine English teacher!
