i want to transfer my wordpress BLOg to new hosting and want to buy a domain name.
Can i Transfer from wordpress blog to new domain? how? can i use any other domain selling site like godaddy?
I was going to buy bluehost's hosting yesterday but i did not, want to have more information about their hosting drawbacks and advantages. AND which options do have.

I have started using services like KnownHost and Downtown host for shared providers. They do not offer unlimited everything, but price is very comparable. Also my sites are faster and never have any down time issues.

I use JustHost and have not had any problems with them. They are very helpful (tech support responds very quickly) and are very affordable.

I guess they are pretty lenient TOS-wise, as I've accidentally sent 90,000 e-mails very quickly using PHP mail(), though their TOS says no more than 500 e-mails should be sent in an hour.

I also run several autoblogs on many domains/subdomains, running crons every hour and have never had issues.

Another vote here for knownhost. Their managed VPS's are pretty reliable. Their support is top notch. Never have to wait more than a couple minutes to get help after you submit a ticket. Media Temple, MDDHosting and VPS.net are a few other good ones too.

90% of the hosting companies are just skins of each other.

You might think there are dozens. But there are actually maybe 6 with tens of skins and dozens of white labels/resellers.

It's a mass market.

I agree, you get what you pay for. I am totally off this unlimited hosting crap. HostGator is the only one that seems to pull it off decently, but even they are starting to get slack and their servers have been lagging a lot lately (at least to me).
