[GET] ClickBank Sniper Software *Exclusive*

*** Official Update ***

Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

The BHW members have been absolutely AWESOME in getting this thing ready for prime time. You guys (and gals) are impressive!

I know the cbSniper Marketplace Miner still has some tweaking to go through... but the core software seems really stable right now. And, as I mentioned before, there have been *far* more downloads than I expected.

So I just wanted to give you a heads-up that the download link is coming down tonight. I have well over 1,000 beta testers right now... and that's more than enough.

The page will stay up because I want the comments and feedback still... but the link will be removed (as will the actual setup... so no hot-linking). I'm undecided whether I'll leave the video up (feedback appreciated on this).

If you already have the software then you'll continue to have access to upgrades and support.

There have been several people who have expressed concern that if their machine crashes, or they get a new computer, etc. they won't be able to re-install the software. That will be worked out shortly... but it will also mean that you'll have to register your software (which was going to have to happen for the release anyway).

Registration isn't in there yet... but it will be before the end of the month.

The registration list is *only* for cbSniper information. It is not a general marketing list.

I installed it all ok and had to restart my system in order to continue, so i restarted and then it came up with that message.

I went through my folders to see if i could find where it installed to but no trace of it so i ran the download again but the message just comes up straight away this time.

ClickOnce applications are sandboxed by Windows so they get there own special little folder to make sure I play nice with the neighbors  It's a pain to find the files because they get put into a totally random folder. The easiest way to find them is to search for cbSniper.exe and make sure to include hidden files in the search because Windows puts the whole thing into a hidden folder.

Also, the folder changes with each update. It's kind of a weird system... but the sandboxing and security features are kind of nice.

Okay... on to your problem... I hate to say this, but maybe just uninstalling and reinstalling would do the trick? Since I can't get any detailed error information, I'm not quite sure where to go with it right now.

The setup and software have been really solid since yesterday's update... so I don't have a lot of other examples to lean on to try and get this worked out.

I'll mess around with some stuff on my end... but in the meantime, would mind uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that makes a difference?

Just got the software and it looks really good.It has all resources in one place and that saves me time.Thank you again for sharing with us all here. This will help a lot.

Adjusted Gravity right now is a very simple calculation. It is a comparison between a product's gravity and the number of sites promoting the product as reported by Yahoo.

The formula is (and I may tweak or change this as I move forward) Gravity / ( Hoplinks * Gravity * 1,000 ).

I didn't intend for it to be any super sneaky or secret. It's a simple metric and the number, itself, isn't what's important... it's the relationship of the number to the overall gravity. So a high gravity product with a lower adjusted gravity means there are a lot of affiliates promoting and ClickBank's gravity is (in my opinion) overstating how easy it would be to promote the product.

The big sticking point I still have with Adjusted Gravity is that it goes to hell on product launches. The AG will shoot to 30,000+... which clearly isn't very accurate.

At some point I'd like to incorporate a 30- or 60-day moving average into Adjusted Gravity. That should help smooth out the launch AG.

If anyone has suggestions on what else I could incorporate into Adjusted Gravity, I'm open.
@squark, I'm kicking the tires and seeing how it handles on curves today and will give you a thorough review shortly.

In the mean time, I saw this quoted posting and thought I'd throw an idea at you on it.

You're grabbing the gravity history chart from cbengine, which also offers up a text-based gravity changes chart. I think that's limited to 3 or 5 most recent changes for free users but more detailed for logged in accounts.

Either way, perhaps you could use those numbers, even if just the freely visible, to determine if the gravity is on an upswing or downturn and then weight the final number of your adjusted gravity calculation formula accordingly.

So it might look something like this:
Gravity / ( Hoplinks * Gravity * (1,000 * weight) )

You could start with a base weight of 1, then adjust it up or down by .1 or even .2 as you compare the last few changes, adjusting the weight number with each comparison.

For instance, say there are 3 freely visible gravity changes for a product and they are:
76 - most recent
72 - next most recent
60 - last most recent visible

Then, 76 would actually be the current gravity, so you could compare it to the next change in line, which is 72, meaning the gravity rose, so now the base weight would go from 1 to 1.2 (or 1.1 or whatever depending on how you set the weighting up)

Then you compare that gravity change number of 72 to the next one in line, which is 60, and the gravity rose again so now the base weight is adjusted again up to 1.4

Making your adjustment formula:
Gravity / ( Hoplinks * Gravity * (1,000 * weight) )
or
Gravity / ( Hoplinks * Gravity * (1,000 * 1.4) )

There are a lot of ways you can tweak such a formula, but something that includes the most recent gravity trends would, in my opinion, be the most useful in accurately reflecting the potential, and could account for those launch spikes to a degree since the base weight would get a negative adjustment for the pre and post launch changes.

It's also evened out partially by the fact that the size of the change isn't used, just the up or down swing to adjust the base weight number, which means a product with a more solid history of upswings will still measure with a product that just got a heavy launch spike.

Anyway, just a thought on how I would probably look to approach tweaking the adjustment formula.

All that aside, so far I'm really impressed with this application. I stay out of the make money niches for the most part, and mining data in other areas is typically slow and boring, but this program seems to put most of what I look for on screen in seconds for me.

That's what I'd like to do. I think this is a good direction and I'll play around with it some more.

Also... I haven't mentioned this before... but I don't need to rely on cbEngine's data. I've been collecting and mining ClickBank feeds for a loooong time. I've got a server-side database of my own that rivals anything out there. I've been debating whether to open up that data to the app, or not.

But if we can come up with a better AG formula that includes historical data then I've got access to just about anything we could want.

The one caveat to that is that ClickBank just upgraded their database to include more information. I am using the updated information in Marketplace Miner. So there may be some data that isn't available historically. But I think an adjusted gravity that takes the past 60-90 days into account would work... and in a few weeks we'll be outside that window with the new data format.

Again... thanks for the idea.

You don't need to find it to uninstall it. Go to Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs and it is listed as cbSniper there.

Also, it appears you're running behind a proxy? Is that the case?

I have detected some wrong price formation in my installation when retrieving information with "Find Products Button", in my case it shows 2 extra digit prices, for example: $4.997,00 instead $49,97; $1.900,00 instead $19,00. (Sorry but can't attach pics)

I just published an update that should fix this. Can someone who is experiencing this issue run the update and verify this is fixed? Thank you.

I've installed on 2 computers and on both don't see and adjusted gravity. One is running win 7 and the other is on a older computer running xp. Thanks a mil for letting us beta test: great product!

Thanks a lot for the software. I find it very useful in finding winning products to promote. Saves me a lot of time and bandwidth in not logging in to clickbank just to browse the marketplace. Everything I need are in this program.

Just downloaded this and got it up and running, no problems on my end -- Win 7 x64 machine. Very slick piece of software, this is going to be a big help! And I'll be ready to promote this once it goes live!

Thanks for the opportunity to beta this, really superb!

Squark,
Thank you for the offer to betta test.
Is there a way to update it from within the software ?
If not how do we keep it up to date ?

Thanks

Say Quark, it might be a good idea to indicate by a star or something that you already have a product marked as favorite; and a way to delete such favorite status after further consideration.

Just a thought.

The software will automatically find updates and prompt you to update. Very simple.

Good idea about the star.

To un-favorite something just click on "Favorite" button again. It acts like a toggle.

hey squark, will the special page you gave for BHW be there permanently?

i mean this page here
Code:

The page will stay up because I'm getting good feedback from there. But the install link (and files) and probably the video will come down later tonight. I just finished my speaking gig and I'm hanging out with a friend... but when I get back home I'll be bringing it down.
