Probably this has been answered before, I need to format my PC. How do I activate my SB license with the new win xp install? Is it free to do so? I bought SB like 1 week ago...

Thanks!

Hope it helps.

Hi loopline & gregstero,

1. Any clues to my query on the previous page? Still no idea how the google search operators and wordpress can conflict each other.

ok, i have finally gone through all 192 pages of this thread .. took me nearly 2 weeks to do so. Although I cant say that I will be very proficient in Scrapebox, but surely i think i have got the basics behind me already. Thanks alot for all the contributions.

2. I have also watched the videos by loopline and on the official scrapebox website. Seems that the RSS submit is just submission of RSS feeds to pinging services? Am I right?

Props on making it thru all 192 pages. :)

Yes, the RSS ping feature is just for submitting to RSS ping services. You can create RSS feeds in the harvester section and control the options via the settings menu.

I wrote up a FAQ on getting your links indexed with the RSS ping feature, it might help shed some light on the subject as well.

Ok, so in regards to the allintitle tag and the wordpress foot print.

As you read here:
http://www.googleguide.com/advanced_operators.html

So if put this in the keywords box:

allintitle: black cars

Then you check wordpress box, its going to search google for something like this:

allintitle:black cars "powered by wordpress"

The buttons at the top that say "wordpress" "Moveable Type" and "Blog Engine" are just buttons that insert a predefined footprint (which I don't know exactly off the top of my head), but lets say its like above for arguments sake.

See scrapebox isn't magic, nor does it doesn't just make stuff up out of thin air. So in order to scrape Google it has to operate inside the same rules as if you went to google.com and typed your query in manually.

So if you go to Google and search for:

allintitle:black cars "powered by wordpress"

then you aren't going to get any results.

Where as if you search for

allintitle:black cars

it works. The All in Title tag pulls results that contain all of search terms in the title. Its not likely that very many titles out there contain

"powered by wordpress"

:)

So in order to get wordpress blogs those buttons append footprints like above to the end of your query. Thats why it doesn't work with wordpress.

So what you could do is use the intitle: operator.

Scrapebox appends its footprint to the end of your search string and when you use intitle: operator the word you want must immediately follow the operator with no space. So if you wanted black cars you would check the wordpress button and put this in the keywords box:

intitle:black intitle:cars

and google would see:

intitle:black intitle:cars "powered by wordpress"

Which works like a charm. :)

This is where using wild cards in your keywords and then merging the file could come in handy. %KW% you can read up on that on scrapeboxfaq.com under scraping.

Hey guys, does this work on a mac?

It works on a MAC under Parallels and Bootcamp.

I sent 2 emails in last 2 days using the contact form on the scrapebox main site.

no answer yet :(

is there other way to contact them ? I heard something about submitting trouble tickets. But I don't know where or if this contact option is still available.

Well if its a problem you can post it here, maybe we can help. Else, no the form is the way. I know they are super busy right now with Scrapeboard and everything.

I already made a thread here for my problem. It's not really a problem with scrapebox. is more about using scrapebox in my network. And I thought they also received such messages from other users who had my problem. I'm still waiting for them to reply.

Are you allowed to install it on more than one computer?

It says you can only have one instance of scrapebox...that means I have to close it on one computer to access it on another...correct?
