Why not organize a BHW SEO Contest ?

You know what I would like to see even more is take sites that are near identical competing for the same keywords.

Take each SEO service on BHW and run them against each other to see who's performs the best. The winner would get a crap load of business but each link would have to be audited to make sure they only did what they're offering. And the SEO packages would have to be roughly equivalent to keep it fair.

Hmmmm... Lets see who can build the most links to my site in 2 months. Winner gets $50.00! :P But really, I would be down for this. It would be fun, and could lead to some future joint ventures between the top people. A lot of the elitists wont join because they believe its a waste of their time and they have never heard of "fun" before.

I'm far from an elitist and I don't want to join. It does sound fun though. My reason is that I'm enough of a slacker as it, even though I constantly working on my sites (sometimes I have to watch a new episode and before I know it it's nighttime and I work into the am).

Maybe when I'm more productive, time manageable, and work smarter I'll join. For now count me out, but heck I would've liked to join.

And for people who haven't SEO services listed in BHW ?
I know there's a lot of people here who have read every book on this forum about SEO strategies, Link building, article writing but who haven't motivation to take action.
I think this kind of contest will reveal some hidden skills.

Honestly the people who really know what they're doing are not likely going to give away their secrets. I've gotten really good at dominating competitive keywords with SEO and I don't like to tell my secrets. No offense but I don't want the competition in my niches.

I would just like to see who's linking structures are the most effective here on BHW by seeing them battle head to head. It would finally shut some people up about what does and doesn't work.

I'd also like to see a sandbox contest. There's a million sandbox threads on here and it would be nice to prove to all these idiots out there how hard it is to get sandboxed.

I totally understand your point of view.
There's people who get bored sometimes by their work and i think a little competition can galvanize.
Also, if you win, we can called you the best SEO man of the world because BHW is the authority forum about SEO :) j/k ^^

I totally understand too
Also, we will see if sandbox exists and in which way does she affect rankings.
I think most competitors will blast as hell their domain and we will see effects :)

LOL. I've still been contemplating having a programmer design me a program to do what I have done manually for one of my linking schemes. Just haven't felt like shelling out the money. Greengoblin was implementing one of my ideas in his new program that will be out sometime.

I am ready to join and contribute prizes to...
to frst, second and third I will give 6 month SEnuke license + Traffic Travis license...
Lets hold it after first week of march...

Another great idea to raise funds is to have a entry fee for this contest

I think it might be a good idea to do that, even if it is small ~$10 then the winer gets the prize pool. I think it should be done for a niche that is already established in Google so we have a little bit of competition, to enter you pay the entry fee and then you are added to an emailing list. When I starts everyone on the list is email the keyword and they have to screen shot them buying the domain (to show that they are using a new domain) we could also check the whois info for the registration date.

I would be interested if I have the spear time.

pm me if this contest starts, i could donate some funds too

Nope
In fact we will choose a keyword who not exist on google and after a month or two, we will see who are in the first place on this keyword.
One rule:
The domain does have the keyword inside.
and after, no rules:
Blackhat or Whitehat
Negative SEO allowed
Xrumer, senuke, Scrapebox, Scrapeboard are allowed, you can use all the tools you want.

oh, yeah that will be cool; nut waht about the prizes that you would like to offer and the way of participating there?

Get senuke to sponsor the event, call it the BlackHatWorld Elite SEO Competition. Have a $10 entry fee, winner gets a life time sub to SENukeX, xrummer and the money obviously.

I would gladly offer my design services free of charge for the thread. Would be cool to make this an annual thing :)

And all those ones really doing all the real shit about IM and BH techniques will never join this event. They will be looking down upon this childish play while drinking their whiskey with their hands on the shoulders of the most beautiful girls with voluptuous bodies.

This is great, better 3 weeks competiton
No keyword exact domain.
Someone from bwh staff hold the money prize

I am interested, If we actually get a contest going in here I would really like to give it a go. I just sent a message to a moderator early to approve some of my SEO services I am about to offer if possible.

I would say make it a valuable keyword, something actually worth something if you rank. Then you get the prize and the traffic to monetize.. Not only that, if you choose a non-searched keyword, I really don't think it proves much at all.. Should be a niche where there are no emd's available and is already highly competitive..

I think it will be fun! I'm willing to enter the competition, I think it is fair regardless of tools used. I would like to enter under White hat. However, what keyword will we use? Should we pick one with some amount of competition rather than none?
