Does Building Backlinks Increase Rankings?

As you can tell by my question, I'm new to Search Engine Optimization. I have various different websites and I was curious if I do simple on page SEO and then I pay for say 400 backlinks, if this would increase my ranking? Then as I build more and more, the ranking of my page goes up?

I'm just trying to decide if I should pay someone on a freelance website to do my SEO work or if I can simply purchase 400 or so backlinks here, and have my page ranking increase?

Your rankings will increase with backlinks once your on page SEO is done properly. The thing is though is that you do not want just backlinks to your site, you want backlinks to your backlinks as well.

Just throwing a bunch of bcaklinks up will not give you a long term positive ranking unless you boost those links and of course you want everything done as randomly as possible when you do set up your backlink infrastructure.

Take a look at my avator and you'll see the red box which is your money site and then you will see some circles pointing to that site. Those are backlinks to my money site. Then if you look closer, you will see rectangular boxes generating backlinks to those cicrles thus giving the links in the circles more link juice to the money site.

You absolutely need to build links. Linkbuilding till this day is one of the most effective methods to achieve rankings within the search engines. Begin with making sure your on-site optimization is up to par.

Then begin to internally optimize your site, as well as homepage, by sending links to it. Be sure they have the anchor text that you want, and that you build backlinks consistently.

Very interesting! Now, in order for me to build backlinks to backlinks, what would the link I provide look like? For an example: I have my website and then I build backlinks to my website, but then when I want to build backlinks to the backlinks to my main website, what would that backlink be to? Would it be to the website that offer backlinks?

Maybe I just don't really quite understand what backlinks are yet. I think that it is your link posted on tons of other websites. Is that correct?

Backlinks are the real engine that power websites to fly high in the search engine ranking. Backlinks have a lot to do. Create them to the inner pages of your site with good anchor texts. Let each page have a specific anchor text. Do not promote the same page with various anchor texts for backlinking. In the on-page SEO aspect, you can focus a page on more than one keyword.

In your backlinking journey, you also need to try some things out. Some things work for some sites and don't work for others. In addition to the things you will gain here, you will also learn from experience. Sometimes Google will slap you for getting too many backlinks overnight. Some backlinks services are good while others are not. Personally, I don't use them because I can create all those backlinks myself. Once you have the right tools and the right strategies, you can do it.

For instance, scrapebox is a tool that can be used in different ways. You can use it for spamming and get backlinks through all forms of blackhat ways. At the same time, the tool can be used in a whitehat way that would not negatively affect your site in the search engines.

A simple way of building backlinks I tell people is to use a simple pyramid structure in building the links. For maximum results, you need a minimum of 2 levels of backlinks booster sites for your main money site. I will explain the levels like this:

1. Level 1 - The level are the main booster sites for building the backlinks. The sites can be as many as 100 depending on your time and effort. Then create as many blacklinks as you like. Even spam blogs with comments and get thousands of backlinks overnight. The level 1 sites are ones you dont care about even if the Google bans them and remove them from the search index. In most cases, I use blogger blogs for the Level 1 sites.

2. Level 2 - The level 2 sites are another backlinks booster sites that you will link your Level 1 sites to. The Level 2 sites are not also money sites. What they do is that they hide your footprint from Google in order not to suffer the sandbox. I use wordpress or some other web 2.0 sites for this level

3. Level 3 - This is your main money site. Treat this with care. Do not mess around with it. Do not use it for spamming. Use the Level 2 sites to link to this Level 2 site. In my own case, I don't link directly to the Level 1 site. There should be no direct connection between them. In using this Level 3 site for commenting, I do it manually on high PR sites. The whole process has really worked for me in backlinking and made me to rule in Google for many of my money sites.

If you want to use a backlink service, make sure you first read many reviews about them. Also, make sure the backlinks they are getting are not in a spammy way. That could negatively affect your site.

Got it! Thanks, that was a lot more clear. Basically I do backlinks for my website and then I do back links for that website that just backlinked to my website?
