It hasn't updated since April.. that's 7 months.

Is that the end of Google PR?

It actually does matter, in many ways but most importantly because I sell websites...

Exactly, unless your selling links page rank does nothing to put cash in the bank. Stop focusing on page rank and focus on conversions instead.

its ok. but people love rank! i still waiting google updates and reach my PR6! :D

I have a site that is PR6. Know how many visits it gets? About 80 a day. Know how much it earns? About a buck a day.

Meanwhile my PR2 sites make me 5 figures.

Only newbies from DP think PR is something to look at.

PR is like an anathema to Dead Man Walking ? Was PR ever alive ? it was and is a SE Con!

i've never paid attention to PR. Its merely for show.

One of my biggest sites that gets 1600 hits/day has a PR of 1 or 2.

What!! Google PR is GOD!! lol jk
Pr is great for bragging and sellign sites. For some reason those DP guys will buy a PR 5 site with 50 ppl a day over a PR 1 site with 10,000 people a day for 3 times the price.. Whatever more power to them.
My metrics, I use alexa if alexa is high then Im interested.
PR is only to say that "Generaly" your site is SEO'd well.
Which as we know is useless because Big G cant make up their mind and changes the metric freaking daily!

Google PR is really not that important unless you are selling backlinks. Last year I was making pretty good money from backlinks com, now it's all gone :(

Quite True. But the thing is, a lot of people Still consider PR Status to Buy sites. I remember, Once I wanted to sell a money making site and people were telling me that my site having NO PR at all, so they are not interested EVEN when the site was making good money ($xxxx/month)

So, if you run the biz, its useless, but if you wanna sell the biz, it still matters.

I have a PR0 site which has 600-700 uniques a day for approx $500 p/d earn.

It annoys me that my spam sites are all PR2-4, but as long as I only have a PR penalty and not a ranking penalty on the money site alls good.

This is how I made my first couple hundred online. Took my blog to PR5 in 2 weeks and sold links. Didn't even know wtf I was doing really haha. It gave me some cash to do some other things though so I guess it was a good starting point.

And yea, that was on DP where PR is the the sh!t.

Well recheck your methods and techniques. Cause google is unpredictable with their PR juices. Or maybe the method that you are using just don't simply work anymore.

PR is not that important, and it definitely should not be a selling point when you are selling websites.

The best way to make the most out of selling websites is to have traffic and revenue. That's what really counts.

Google doesn't update PR just for one site... it's network wide, and the last one what on April the 2nd.

I GOT PAGE RANK 5 IN ONE MONTH, and i fell my keywords ranking in google 100% improve after the got page rank,

I thought that the weight given to incoming links is dependent on the PR or the page where the link is?

Isn't there supposed to be some formula where PR2 link = 1000 PR1 link = 10,000 PR0 links, etc.?

In the SB threads lots of people talk about checking page rank and only posting to blogs of PR3 and above and then manually posting on high PR blogs (6+).

That would mean that without PR updates nobody would know which pages to spend time getting their links on.
