Hi guys,
If I buy a good expired domain in the same niche as my project, but the old site was in English and I want to launch an Arabic website on it, will this have any negative effect on SEO?
Has anyone tested this? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.

I don’t think the language change alone is a big issue if the old domain and new site are still closely related. I’d be more careful about the domain history, old backlinks and whether the old content was actually in the same niche. If those look clean then I’d test it rather than reject the domain just because of the language.

anyway, I would definitely go for it at least once, especially when it is a great placement that they will take down immediately after you pay them. If they do not answer you or continue to ignore you, then I will try another site using that money.

I be more concerned about the domain’s old niche, backlink relevance and history; if those are clean and relevant, I’d be comfortable rebuilding it in Arabic. language things wont be big probem i guess
