Alright, throwing this out there because I need some accountability and honestly BHW journey threads have helped me more than any course I ever bought.

Quick backstory: built a content site to a solid $8-10k/month, sold it in 2024. Took the money, took a break, made some dumb decisions with the cash (we've all been there lol), and now I'm starting fresh. Different project, same playbook, just refined this time around.

The setup:
I'm running my own video hosting platform (self-hosted, not relying on YouTube/Vimeo to not get demonetized or banned for random ToS reasons). Content gets syndicated to one of the big social platforms where a specific type of clip content performs really well — high engagement, low competition once you know how to work the algorithm/mods. I've been doing this specific play for years under a different project so I already know the mechanics cold, just rebuilding the infrastructure from scratch.

Why I'm confident:
  • Already did this exact model to 5 figures/month once
  • Infra is mine (own server, own domain, no platform risk on the hosting side)
  • I know the distribution channel inside out, no guessing on what works
Where I'm at right now:
  • Site is live, video pipeline is solid (live capture + auto-processing, no manual work needed per upload)
  • Distribution account(s) already have history/karma built up
  • Monetization not fully switched on yet — this month is about volume and consistency first

The goal:
$4,000/month by end of September. That's the checkpoint. If the model holds like it did last time, $10k isn't unrealistic by early next year, but I'm not getting ahead of myself, one milestone at a time.

What I'll be sharing here:
Weekly-ish updates. Numbers (traffic, revenue when it kicks in), what's working, what's not, and the dumb mistakes I make along the way because there will be some.

Let's see where this goes

Nice to see someone posting an actual plan instead of just talking about "the next big thing." You've already proven the model once, so now it's more about execution than experimentation.

I'll be following this thread. Looking forward to seeing the weekly stats, especially what content formats, posting frequency, and monetization strategies end up moving the needle. Good luck with the $4k September target!

Love a good comeback journey thread. The fact that you've already hit the $10k a month mark before is honestly the biggest advantage you have here. You already know the process and what it actually takes to grow a project to that level.

Self hosting your video setup is a really smart move too. Relying on third party platforms is always a massive risk once you start pulling in serious traffic, so owning the asset outright will save you a lot of headaches later on.

Looking forward to your weekly updates. Good luck hitting that initial $4k milestone by September, I'll definitely be following along. :)
