Hey everyone,
I’m planning to start running paid ads but I’m confused between Facebook Ads and YouTube Ads.
My goal is mainly:
  • Getting conversions (sales/leads)
  • Working with a limited budget
  • I’m still a beginner
From your experience, which platform performs better in terms of ROI?
Also:
  • Which one is easier to start with?
  • Which gives faster results?
Would love to hear your insights
Thanks!

  • Meta Ads → best for conversions, cheaper, easier, faster results
  • YouTube Ads → better for branding, needs bigger budget, slower
Beginner + low budget → choose Facebook Ads

honestly for a limited budget as a beginner, the facebook vs youtube debate kind of misses a third angle worth thinking about... your conversion goal matters more than the platform. i ran facebook for a lead gen client last year, $400 in spend, got 34 leads at like $11.70 cpl, but that only worked because the offer had enough margin to make cold traffic worth it. youtube with skippable ads can eat your budget fast if your hook isnt dialed in the first 5 seconds, facebook gives you faster feedback loops on creatives for less money, so if you're still figuring out your messaging id start there and treat youtube as a scale play later.

Start with Facebook, way easier to launch and get data fast on a small budget
YouTube works but needs better creatives + funnel, otherwise you’ll just burn money testing
validate offer on FB first, then move to YouTube once you know it converts

Both platforms can work well for conversions, but it really depends on your offer and creatives. From my experience, Facebook Ads are usually easier to test quickly with a small budget since you can launch campaigns fast and iterate based on data. YouTube Ads can bring high-quality traffic too, especially if you have good video content, but it may take more time to optimize. If you’re just starting out, I’d suggest testing Facebook first, then expanding to YouTube once you’re more comfortable.

As I know, Facebook Ads give fast results because you can target the right people easily.
That’s why they work well for ecom and products people buy quickly.

Hey, Start with Facebook Ads—it’s cheaper, easier, and gets faster conversions than YouTube Ads for beginners.

i think for beginner facebook ads better bro, easy setup and you can start with low budget also, targeting also simple so good for testing and getting leads/sales fast. youtube ads good but little hard in start and need video + more setup, also results take bit time. for fast results and small budget i go with facebook first, then later try youtube when you understand ads more.

Facebook for beginners on a limited budget, lower barrier to entry and faster feedback loop on what's working. YouTube needs stronger creative skills and bigger budgets to test effectively.

There is nothing like the best platform for paid traffic.

Based on your goal, I would advice you to start with Facebook ads.

Facebook remains the primary advertising platform due to its large user base and ease of access.

For beginners, Facebook is the ideal starting point due to its lower entry barrier, faster data acquisition, and precise targeting on a small budget. Use it to validate your offer first before transitioning to Youtube. Because Youtube requires higher-quality creatives and a more robust funnel to avoid wasting ad spend

There’s no universal prizewinner in Facebook vs. YouTube Ads.

Run YouTube for explanation and intent-focused demand creation. And use Meta for rapid testing and brand growth.

Regardless of the platform, your data needs to be managed effectively if you want to achieve any results from your advertising.

Honestly, if you’re just starting with a limited budget, I’d go with Facebook Ads first. It’s much easier to set up, you don’t need high-quality video creatives like on YouTube, and you can start testing quickly with small amounts. In terms of ROI and speed, Facebook usually gives faster feedback and conversions, especially for beginners. YouTube can work really well too, but it’s more about scaling and building trust, and it often needs more budget and solid video ads to perform. A good approach is to start with Facebook, find what actually converts, and then move to YouTube once you have a proven setup.

honestly if you are a total beginner with a tight budget just stick to facebook ads for now. meta's algorithm is way better at finding quick buyers and you can test cheap image creatives instead of spending a ton of time and money producing high retention video ads for youtube. youtube is amazing for scaling later but it takes way more ad spend to optimize and the barrier to entry with video production will probably just burn through your limited budget before you even see your first sale.

if you beginner and low budget i would say go with facebook ads first, its easier to setup and you can test fast with small money, also good for direct conversions if targeting right… youtube ads more for brand and takes time to optimize and need good video also, results not that fast in start, so better learn facebook first get some data then later try youtube when you understand ads better

Сhoose a primitive geo, but not a large budget for expenses, so as not to lose money + find a good advertiser who would give you feedback on your customers and you would understand how to improve the quality

I recommend going with Facebook Ads. YouTube ads are more complex to manage in terms of creating ad assets, whereas with Facebook you can run static creatives and achieve very good results.

Facebook easier to start and faster to test with low budget. Youtube needs more setup and good video or it wont convert.

For quick results start with facebook then scale later.
