Hi! I’m looking for effective ways to do viral advertising on Reddit witjout getting banned or downvoted. I know Reddit is very sensitive to direct promotion, so I’m interested in strategies like:

1. Using value-driven posts instead of direct ads​
2. Choosing the right subreddits and timing​
3. Blending promotion naturally into discussions​
4. Using multiple accounts or aged accounts (if allowed)​

It’s not a banned product, but viral advertising is much cheaper sometimes even free and far more effective. I’m already supporting it with Google Ads (AdWords) and social media ads.

I understand reddits anti corporate culture, but how can viral marketing be free? There's no free lunch, did I miss something?

This will require creating say 50 accounts, operating them, bot or human, this comes with a cost, someone plans the campaigns etcetc

I get the point, but “free” here usually just means no paid ads. The cost is shifted to time, effort, and risk. Account creation, warming them up, planning posts, and avoiding bans all have a cost — even if it’s not paid to Reddit directly. So yeah, there’s no free lunch, just different ways of paying for it.

On Reddit, a post got viral because of the conversation and engagement on the post not because of the promotion. Picking the right subreddit and posting on the Right time when a lot on people are online on that subreddit.
Also the promotion should be done in natural way so that it won't break any rule of the subreddit. By doing this you can get a lot of attention without spending any money on ads.
